this is a common thing with shared pmc/scav spawns (crossroads comes to mind) - the exfils are a little offset

Good starting point is to learn a map, customs is percect to start with and watch guides on ammo vs armor, helmets, faceshields, etc.

when you have barely any money post successful scav run, you could buy a pistol (or use a scav gun) on your pmc, and then kill the first scav you see, take their kit, and use them as a "free scav"

money is pretty easy to make once you learn the maps. Do a scav run and loot, do a PMC stash run, then another scav. After that u should be comfortable to buy some gear
