Best spot is behind the blue dumpster in the dead end, because if a person walks thru the entrance you know they're a player scav (I've never seen an AI walk in there, they seem to either spawn in there or never venture in) and so you can immediately start blasting whereas they have to first spot you, then wait until you fire to make sure you aren't an AI

First of all you should probably slow down and listen more, or try to look for movement instead of human shapes

If you start looking for silhouettes you can get easily screwed over by bushes and branches because monkey brain

Run less and more appropriately and avoid open spaces where you don't know all the angles you're exposed to

Oh and never fight fair because having the odds on your side is better than gambling against someone with an equal chance to win

If someone starts shooting at you out of nowhere you should default to finding cover instead of the guy shooting at you
