This might sound like a stupid question but at what point should a player start purchasing weapons other than cheap pistols and rifles - when should a player really start investing into kitted out runs?

keep in mind that better gear increases chance of survival, but you also gotta part ways with it as soon as you put it on your character

A super easy loot run is on shoreline, you're hitting jackets in village for keys and putting them into a docs case, so even if you die you keep 90% of the profit. FIR keys aren't a huge deal anyway, as this late into wipe they're basically deflated to trader price
