the VSS rounds are incredibly slow. you really want to consider it an SMG and not a DMR, despite how it's named

if you run the VSS without a foregrip, you probably will need to tap fire outside of 15 meters, but within 15 you still want to be point firing on full auto

The whole idea stemmed from a Sherpa earlier who didn't like the fact that player's were using the VSS and VAL as SMGs rather than their intended purpose, so I've been experimenting really. I typically do use traditional DMRs

The way zeroing functions is a mix of the two.

The weapon velocity will change the arc of the bullet but not the nodes [zeroing numbers] where ammo will change the nodes.

@rough scarab just really depends on what you can afford and risk losing. Starting out, I wouldn't recommend worrying about it till you get flea and the hang of the game. Cheap easy loadouts for questing as you are most likely to die especially this late in the wipe.

Its nice to have a nice gun/loadout but the risk and cost goes up quickly especially if you aren't consistently surviving raids. Personal preference as well..

Use your scav runs as practice to get used to fights as you don't lose anything if you die. I personally will still do runs with a press vest and a shotgun most raids even with 25mil+ in my stash. Can I afford to be a chad? Yes, but it's more fun to me to be fast, quite, and shoot the chads in the legs to make them rage.

Also, as a new player, there is nothing wrong with not engaging other PMC's. Surviving raids is more important than killing 3 and dying.
At the end of the day, that's what makes Tarkov great. You can either play more stealth like, or you can be someone who holds shift W and play more aggro.

I never run better than PRESS armor. Players will have ammo to tear through any of it, so I only wear it to stop stray scav bullets.

Ears will let you pick up sounds further away that wouldn't be heard even with volume maxed. Turning up volume will just make the close sounds louder.

i'd run a grach with pst gzh, spam factory and go face

glock with quake/rip is valid but a little tricky to pull off, ap 6.3 or 7n31 are valid but pricey

im terrible on factory played 37 games on Customs and maybe 2 games on woods

factory is a good map to practice to get comfortable with pvp, and you'll have more quests there

its also the fastest way to pvp which is good for grinding out "kill X pmc" quests
