@bold kernel what works for me is just running factory as a scav over and over

I would say about 5% of the scavs on factory wear this armor and you can spawn with it too, furthermore there are several spawn location for it on the map

should not take you more than 3-4 quick runs

spawn in, check the bodies and maybe kill a scav or 2 and bolt for the exit. repeat until you get your armor

I've been looking up maps and trying to practice in offline mode and as a scav. Got one scav to extraction out of about 5, and did one PMC raid but got killed 5 metres from the extraction point and lost everything, hoping to get something back via insurance. Is this normal for E.F.T? How do I get to be more successes per raid?

the best way to learn would be going with someone more experienced and they babysit you and show you the loot spots and where to avoid

and in the end you'll get to be the person killing people instead

For the moment I am earning more xp from examining the unknown items in the Fence than I am playing the actual game! I love how realistic everything feels, having to buy individual bullets, people die in 1 or 2 shots, noise travels, you need to eat and drink etc. and I really want to give the game a real chance as I love the idea of it, but I'm not finding the game very new player friendly and don't know if I'm doing it right! All these beginners guides never say the same thing. I’ve heard reserve, customs, factory, all sorts of shit. I want to hear from some people who work with new players all the time what map should I start with.
