craft anything and as often as you can for as many skill points in Hideout Management as possible; it makes your gas, water and air filters last longer and it affects the librarys percentage returns quite a bit. I have level 26 hideout management and my fuel lasts 26% longer and i get 20.4% extra experience from raid from my library and 46.4% extra perception skill gains or something instead of 15% or whatever base is.

Ah, then you need to explore the maps and learn extracts. I recommend doing that on a scav or on offline mode. If you are looking for someone to run with you #pvp-lfg , beginners assistance voice channels, or sherpahub (info in #sherpa-info) would be a good starting place.
