because the only way to get it is from mechanic lvl 4 and it shoots out of the mp7 which has a high fire rate, recoil, and ergo without much modding needed. same thing with ss190 ammo except its for the p90 instead of mp7

There really is no point to trying for any intermediate loadout imo
You either gear up ito fight scavs
or PMCs
And everything I've been told by this point in the wipe your best loadout for PMCs is a top meta gun, some meds and nothing else
Because armor is obsolete
I put on some type 6 armor once to see if I saw a difference, and it had no noticeable impact on the game.

and if you can hit heads without "meta guns" you still can wipe squads
i can use a stock hunter with an ekp sight with m61 or m62 and still kill pmcs, and thats not so "meta"

You could do stashes on Customs - usually pretty good loot from those and they're dotted all around the map.

You get a message from Prapor ~24hours later.
But that's ONLY if no-one exfils with your weapon.
If someone grabs the item off your corpse and dies with it, you'll still get it. If they take a mod from the weapon but leave it, you'll get everything except the mod (and ammo).

@brittle viper These are the three possible magazines for the SKS, both versions. The one far left is an internal magazine, the other two are removable.
The internal magazine needs to be removed in your stash and filled then replaced into your gun before a raid. In raid the internal magazine can NOT be removed. You reload the gun by top loading individual bullets. Shotguns work the same way.
The removable magazines again need to be removed to be loaded in the stash. In raid the magazine can be removed and replaced with a full magazine like the majority of the guns in game. Unique to the SKS (I believe) is that if you have a removable magazine in the gun and nothing but loose bullets in your rig and pockets you will top load individual bullets even with a removable magazine.
By far most effective way of using an SKS is with removable magazines and swapping mags to load

You can stop the coughing from a blacked out stomach with any painkiller. Blacked out arms only makes aiming a bit harder, and drains the "aim stamina" faster. Blacked out legs are the worst, but can also be functional again with painkillers, though you take damage on jumping/running.

I used the SKS from Prapor, and a PACA + headset from Ragman along with any cheap backpacks I found or bought from Ragman
Prapor sells the gun and ammo, Ragman sells the armor, ears, facecover, helmet, and backpack
