Quite a few maps: Shoreline, Interchange, Customs, rarely Factory, rarely Labs, Reserve
Not sure what my issues could be, I can only guess. When I die, it's very likely because of bad aim. I often hit 1 in 8 shots while I aim directly at someone from a PP-19 on a medium range, or an AK-74M at a slightly longer range.
The other times I die because someone got the stealth advantage, as in they camped a spot that I am just unable to see because they're virtually invisible. Last time I went full geared on Reserve, in the underground, I died to a one tap from someone I didn't hear for long, long minutes, and I'm not sure where he could have been hiding either, since I got hit on the top of my head - Could be a cheater, or could be someone I just missed.
Overall: Bad calls, bad aim, bad awareness.
Most of the time I'm scared to engage as well. Usually when I know I don't have any kind of advantage, let's say, we both know where the other guy is, and I'm scared to peek.

@grim spruce @cobalt rain First and foremost, take maps at a slower pace... Be more aware of your surroundings, and study the PMC spawns on the maps you play... the first 2-3 mintues of a raid can be the most intense some times... I would try using a semi auto like an adar, and try not taking close range engagements when you can stand it... Less is more when it comes to accuracy... So you dont have to shoot a shit ton if youre accurate... semi guns will give you better control, and you can be more deliberate with your shots...
If you have to engage close range, then hip fire is your friend, practice on factory just shooting from the hip... (dont turn on horde, only high on scav count, currently a bug with horde and they wont spawn)... then just take ina shit ton of ammo and practice exclusively firing from the hip

@drifting jolt The thing is, I never go full-auto until someone's really close. I went with a PP-19 into a run and tried to tap a guy from around 20m. Turns out I hit him 1 time out of 8 bullets fired.
Maybe it's just that I don't fully understand how aiming actually works in the game.

Flanking is a huge advantage, if youre comfortable witha map, dont be scared to take a 15-60 second flank after disengaging and getting beside/behind your opponent... a lot of players get fixated ona position and will forget to keep an eye out around them, and you can kill them before they realized youve flanked

Hmm, cause guns are incredibly accurate in this game at semi, so you should be holding your breath when at all possible
you really dont have to aim up at all within a 100 meters
also if youre gonna go full auto at mid range, then aim at their belly button, so after the first 2 bullets the gun is centering on chest/head

you should practice with all those weapons in offline mode to familiarize yourself
sell off the ones you dont like, many of them are useless, the best ones are the rifles and all your ammo is shit so you need faceshots on non visor enemies

but youll see if you play with them. under level 10 you can even get a good budget kit. not really anyways for the current status of the wipe
make sure you can acquire more resources before you sell them all off first too. if your skill is too low youll burn through all of them
in offline mode you can enable ai and you dont lose any xp/ammo/weapons/gear but also no gains
just dont use horde mode cuz its broken for a bit rn

you cant trade bought items to players. so make sure its a dealer.
if it is a dealer, it can be worth. usually by getting them for specific undercut prices. which is harder than it sounds
most item costs are reflective of trades so if you have enough money to buy all the coins you probably couldve just bought the case.

what is 'right away'? you need to be there within 3 minutes maximum if you want to be first. Even then, there is a spawn directly by it. that is your best chance

This is my first wipe too.. The biggest thing I've learned about pvp so far is ammo will make or break your fight. If you're running poop ammo winning will come down to luck only
Good ammo is expensive though. I've just been focusing on quests, leveling hideout and making roubles so I can actually afford to throw away gear taking fighfs.
