Well, a few things to keep in mind. Best way to learn the map is to run it as your scav. Find a map (check the tarkov wiki, there are many maps for each map in the game) and run it.
Scavs are free gear.
another thing to keep in mind about tarkov. Ammo matters way more then the gun

@rustic plank I could help you further, but I need to know your system specs, I have an i7-3770 which is an old CPU its 3rd gen for frick sakes lol its from 2010 or 2012, but I have DDr3 RAM, 24 gigs of it, and I have a GTX 1070, but I run all my settings on max and I get 60 FPS
its because my GPU is way better than my CPU so it bottlenecks the CPU so in order to get the best performance possible for my machine I have to max all the settings out to put more focus on my GPU since the game is naturally CPU intensive

@pale shoal @sour heron but if you have a high refresh rate monitor and you can get higher than 120 FPS in the game, if you have an Nvidia GPU you turn off verticle sync in your Nvidia control panel but turn it on in game, and it gives the appearance that you can go over the 120 cap for FPS

when low on cash, i've been scavving night time interchange with great success. Clean out goshan and the back shelves, bop a few scavs and extract at emercom. Most of the time I only get 100-150k worth of loot, but at least i survive like 4 out of 5 raids.
