You want to get to lvl 4 on everyone. Each level 4 has some great rewards. For example cheaper labs keycards from therapist etc.

My advice is always learn customs first then learn any map that looks good to you.
Its great to teach the game and really just a line you run across to get to extract.

If your new then alternate scav and PMC on customs. Use your PMC for quests and use your scav for money. Try and learn the whole game in customs and then when your comfortable with the game as a whole and the map then move on to another one.

Definitely one of the most forgiving maps in my opinion and requires nearly no keys as marked is the main one thats worth it.

Scav case is worth it if you want the chance to pull a high value item for the feel of pulling a high value item. Economically though I would say not really my dude - its a large investment for even more risk after that. However, its still something very cool and useful to have as its amazing when you get something good.

The ammo can be kinda expensive but an MP-153 with 8 rounders and then keep 4 in pockets and the rest in container and move it out when you need it should keep you pretty healthy. That gun will give you a fighting chance against any type of gear.

@ancient falcon that I can think of, there are 3 scav snipers on customs. I dont think any other map has more. there are 2 on shoreline (Heps and rock passage crossing)
