So I'm lvl. 24. This is my second wipe, but the first time playing it from the start. I've been hemorrhaging money into the hideout and only need to get the required components for the bitcoin farm. Sadly this left me with little funds. Some failed raids and shit money decisions later, I have 150K rubles left. Luckily I have an aytn and exfil (both with face sheild), some class 5 armor, and a couple of guns, rigs, and headsets. Do I just scav to riches, or say fuck it and go for pmv loot runs?

BEARs start with AKs and Russian-aligned gear
Russian only voicelines.
Arguably better clothing options.
USECS:
USECs start with M4s and Western-aligned gear
English only voicelines.
Pretty mediocre clothing options.

Those are really the only differences so far. Further along in the game's future, some NPC factions will treat you differently, and there will be faction specific skills. If you're curious as to what gear you start with depending on the faction, check the game's preorder page.

It's erratic, but scavs can respawn, I've found that in those quests it's been easier to go in the dusk or early morning and essentially patrol 2-3 areas I know they have a chance of spawning. For woods the Emercom med area (FOB), the sunken village and the village all have good scav spawns

Every helmet has a chance to ricochet any bullet that hits it - very small however. Something is almost always better than nothing. (Unless the helmet blocks your hearing)

Ammo is more important than the weapon
Depending on which weapon, you likely missed a LOT of shots
It may have been a raider or scav boss

Sure, but it'll take several bullets. Once the leg is blacked out, all further damage continues to the overall HP. It doesn't take long to murder someone with leg meta.

For example, RIP ammo has 0 penetration - it won't even break through class 1 armor

But it does like 100 damge per shot.

#

5 bullets will take someone from 465 HP to 0, even without the added damage from hitting a destroyed limb
