Alright, so complete beginner here, just picked up the game the other day. How in the heck do I survive longer than 2 minutes on customs to do the 5 scav kills for debut mission? I've gotten 1 so far, and that was because I spawned next to him when I went in as a scav. I've stopped going in on pmc because I've lost all of my starter gear from it and am going back to ratting around in reserve lol.

Most of the time, I dont even know. Spend most of the time lurking in cover and then while moving between cover, I hear a shot or two before I die if I'm lucky. I've only had a couple opportunities to fire back, but am quickly outgunned or just nooned because I have no helmets

In customs you can just book it to your destination from spawn, and there's a good chance you'll beat people to there, provided your spawn is decently placed

First couple of deaths were from trying to book it somewhere. I've lasted longer by creeping out near my spawn point so far

guys I have a question about armor...watched a vid talking about destructibility of armor and each material it is made from, and what I understood is the if an armor blocks a bullet it takes damage instead based on a % of the round's damage..that means if i spray a dude(uisng a high power weapon like a semi auto shotgun) with lvl 4 cermaic armor (which has bad destructibility on paper) means I willl be able to break his armor and gun him down eventually?

I, like most people, play this game for the progression. Gunplay is something you learn to adapt to and get used to over time. Most people will never be popping heads withing split-seconds of seeing the opponent. They will take it slow, possibly avoid fighting entirely if they can, and try to escape the map alive.

reserve is only difficult because so many snipers play on it

I can't think of any other map that has better balance than reserve though honestly. It does have pretty hoop extracts though except manhole.

I'd go for interchange as a beginner as well because the extracts are one of the easiest to learn imo, customs also but that's only because you need to run that map so much for starter tasks

the 'noob assistance' channel was meant for sherpas to pick up players but since sherpas don't ever pick up players here you'd have better luck in #pvp-lfg or #sherpa-info/sherpahub

@quasi belfry take it easy, dont play it like its cod if you dont have the gunskill, learn when its time to run (ie in the open) when its time to walk and when its time to crawl, also helps a lot if when you spawn you go hide somewhere and let the others kill for a bit
