Shotguns, at least IRL, are used primarily for home defense. Therefor they aren't really the best at any range higher than like the distance from your front door to your living area. In this game, yeah they're all right, but most people you find are going to have some sort of armor, and shotguns just aren't equipped to deal with armor,

@lethal abyss Someone suggested me to get on raftors and just camp there, it kinda of worked. Just make sure to get a pistol with a bigger mag and aim for the head.
You can also try and rush someone as soon as the match starts. Most likely they're going to have a pistol or weak armor. I'm talking about Factory runs of course.
