@slow whale That'd be most likely because all other AI on the map don't attack you unless provoked as a Scav.
PMC will have all AI attack you on sight; the game is and should be slightly 'easier' as a scav. Practice, practice practice bro :)

@potent tusk If you have your hideout upgraded to utilize a FP-100 air filter; if you run labs all day and have an Air Filter in; you receive 40%+ more experience points in Strength per grenade thrown. Simply put; after 8 grenades are thrown by you in a raid you will suffer diminishing returns meaning you cant toss 400 grenades in one raid to get to level 3 strength--which is how many it takes without an FP-100 Air Filter.
To maximize the strength gain, after 8 nades are thrown consider extracting and reraiding and grenade throw as much as possible.
This would be a legitimate way to get level 51 strength..however....

Unfortunately those are stutters that everyone pretty much experience. There's no real solution but waiting for developers getting it fixed

From what i read, the stutters occur due to the different bullet types being fired off. Thus why you usually experience them in gunfights, some say that disabling vsync on the game and nvidia control panel and let the frames run uncapped will help, but you will still experience stutters

idk if its related, but I just started and ill get random 1-2s freezes. fighting or just walking around, nothing obvious seems to trigger it. Finding the tarkov.exe and turning off full screen optimizations in compatibility settings seems to have helped. went from freezes every raid, to every other raid.

well nvg & torchs don't mix well together, they spent their time getting lost, giving wrong calls in the dark and turning themselves blind

Hi peeps! Been enjoying and getting frustrated at Tarkov for a few weeks now. The only successful looting route I've found is Interchange but stay away from the building. I think my second stream showed this heavily as I started stocking adars and sniping some targets... even mosin target at one point took no damage as I realized something wasn't rendering and protecting a scav.
Do some offline raids in factory... maybe horde mode... get a feel for combat up close and test guns out in extended combat.

Play your scavs for free gear. If your careful though dead bodies with guns can be found.
I usually suggest interchange and hangout in parking lots but you could experiement with finding mounted gun positions in reserve and shooting some targets to attempt quick gear...
Or look up grenade box locations and try to blow someone up

There's no certain lvl before you decide to go for pmc, it all depends on your skills and confidence. If you're too scared to fight a pmc, then you'll most likely somehow mess up or something like that. Flea market access would help a bit with ammo availability which would make fighting pmcs easier

I engage them when I have to, but 95% of them time its them already waiting for me to walk around a corner. I always wear headphones, I slow my speed, I take my time and try not to make too much noise, but they're always there

It depends on map knowledge, knowing maps would help you know the possibilities of ambushes, where you can wait yourself and ambush others and so forth

@steady igloo It can be dangerous running into stacked pmc's... more dangerous then their gear is their experience. I have some streams on the sherpa hub and most raids I stick around till late in raid... just to get lower traffic and taking my time reading battlefield for clues.
You might notice I mostly end up fighting fellow scavs and low gear players. Get taken out by a couple too.

We just entered pre-wipe (a wipe being, everyones account gets reset in the interest of development as well as enjoyment, because its fun for everyone to be on the same level again)
what would normally be fairly easy (for tarkov standards) enemies, are now raiders, which are arguably more difficult than players to kill
I suggest practicing on these raiders and just learning the feel of the game and the maps as best you can this week, because we are likely to see the game wipe on the weekend

I want to take some higher tier ammo into raids like 7.62 BP but I feel like the potential and the price of ammo outweights anything you could potentially kill in the game

well, pricing on everything is a bit messed up, but regardless, 300 bp i think costs around 200k from prapor, i use this round a lot and i take roughly 150 bulets with me 2 50mag and a spare stack or even less with an sks. Now that everyone is geared up most likely one kill would more than cover that so for me is optimal ... anyway try to take advantage of this prewipe time and experiment with gear and play styles, don't worry that much about the money

i think the amount of ammo you take in should be in direct proportion with the aggressiveness of your play style, if you take it slow/snipe/hide and rarely use full auto there is no need for all that ammo, but if you engage anything moving you might end up dry when it matters most. If your average life span is rather short and you don't expect multiple engagements you could dial down the ammo count. gamma/secure container is your friend, meds most likely are cheaper than a 60 stack of anything

How come the recoil in this game is so god awful? It's not that I just spray without thinking, even stuff like 3 round bursts are nearly uncontrablable. I have played mil-sims and it was never this bad. I have a DT MDR that I am practising with in offline mode against he beafy scavs now and I am not hitting anything, even when standing still

I am just starting, so my funds and willingness to invest into mods is... limited to say the least. The game aims for realism, yet the recoil system is like arbitrarily difficult to handle. I am currently running interchange over and over on offline to get a grip on it. The pre-wipe scavs are a BLESSINg because they hit like fucking trucks with their space laser bullets. I am loving it. Feels a bit like a PMC firefight but you can practise

its just the initial jump that is jarring

@past violet because literally everyone will try and hop on, it'll put massive stress on the servers.
So the launcher will be fucky, and even if you do get into a game, there will not be enough servers for people to play on, so expect queue times that can last hours.

Reserve and Interchange
Reserve, check along the K buildings (the huts across from train), check the floors, check the shelves. Any building with large shelves can have them, and I find them on the roof of White Pawn frequent enough.
On interchange, just check the shelves in Oli.

No, I think finding them normally in raid would be your best bet.
You can find them in places meds normally spawn, so some of the unlocked rooms on shoreline, and the med building in reserve
