@topaz sluice Best way is to use some of the online maps to figure out where the extract points are located, then go a like 1-2 runs on the map without gear or in offline mode to understand land marks so you can find your way around easily

BSG said they want to add a way to extract a 'backpack' with loot in it for rubles in order to get items out of raid but keep you in it; this can be effective at making you decide
A. Take backpack full of gear to dropspot on map and not have enough time to complete task
B. With one less PMC, Use that time to go to dorms and complete your task; leaving majority of the gear behind
Basic example and theyre are many more; but I feel these types of decisions are what they are aiming for ? 🤷

Also, if you get your hideout upgraded a bit, you can craft task items and they will count as "found in raid". Same with stuff you extract with as a scav.
Makes some of the tasks a little easier to complete.

@bold kernel There is no concrete objective in Tarkov. There are quests to do, loot to get and money to make. That's the progression in a nutshell. When you are a PMC you can choose exactly what gear you take into a raid, and you can complete certain quests and objectives which allows you unlock higher trader levels, which in turn gives you access to better attachments/ammo/guns etc

been playing for over 500 hours and I really don't get the ammo system why is it that it takes me much longer regardless of armor to down someone even after I confirm 10 plus hits on them

@quartz pendant BT ammo has a 55% chance of penning class 4. 0% chance of penning class 5. 9 times is more than enough to break class 4 enough for the BT to start going thru. You might have hit the hands more or something, and you might have been one tapped because you got shot in the head

I don't tend to trust the hit count either given the horrid state of the game atm and that aiming is bugged due to FOV and it's interaction with zeroing

I didn't kill the newbie. I lacked info and a position i was comfortable in. I was i the open on a road on customs behind a small barrier. I was stalking them waiting for the opportunity where they were weakest. Scavs where running after the third shot and the newbie disappeared.
