@strong jolt It is infrared light that is supposed to help illuminate what's in front of you when you're using night-vision devices of any kind (besides thermal imaging sights). Though it's practical application in Tarkov is that it helps reduce your spread when hipfiring your weapon. Instead of a regular laser the IR light will not give your line of sight away to your enemies as much.

i started from just understanding how to get to scav checkpoint/crossroads extractions
you just need to follow the main road to them ( scav checkpoint is east on the road and crossroads is west ), and then while you are getting to those extract points just get a bit into the woods from the right side and you should see the dorms for example, you have the gas station right on the road to the east so it will be easy to find it@livid bridge

Im aware of a weird interaction with reserve bushes, those bushes usually slow your movement speed down so you cant run through em, but if you jump, the speed meter would stuck to low speed as if you were in the bush even if you are not

So i got some nice stuff from a lad i met on here, played some yesterday, did scav- only runs to keep my money going.
Until today, i tried to do a pmc run because yea, its useless to not use your good items and let em dust in your inv. Anyways, i died that round which was alright, but now i have lost every run since (even with scavs). I do the run, kill some scavs and pmc's and then i die whenever im loaded at the end all the time.
I basically lost alot of stuff and i have no clue how i can actually make it where i get some good stuff myself without it being given to me.
Any help would be appreaciated!

@pine spruce reserve raider farming is something you will do later in the game once you get more comfortable with the mechanics. If you are really hurting and just want to make some cash shoreline cache runs can be very profitable and its fairly easy to make it out of that map without pvp if you stay away from resort
Look up a YT video or map with the stashes, there are tons of them on shoreline. Other maps have them to, i rarely see people doing interchange stash runs and that can work too but not nearly as many, same with customs
