usually you have to get a kill and check the body or loot enough stuff to gain enough xp to avoid run through status.

Its a tough one and IDK what the devs want the game to look like at the very end entirely. I don't know what the "best" solution is. However, I do consider the pros and cons of what has been proposed.
Well its not made "easier" just because prices slowly drop for some items. Not to mention. Your VSS/VAL and high end gear prices still sit around the same spot.
No matter what time or day it is, I can sell 5.45x39 bs for 1k a round and maybe some other ammo fluctuates 50 rubles and dip 100 at most from what I have seen.
So not everything in the economy gets "wrecked."

First thing to do is RESET EXPECTATIONS. Doesn’t matter how much or how well you do in other shooters. This is a knowledge game. You will die and die due to lack of experience not gear. Experience. It will require persistence and commitment. You need to learn maps, scav behavior, PMC behavior, what is good vs. bad ammo. Practice OFFLINE mode, with scavs on, at Customs. Try to make it from spawn to exit 10 times. IF you can do this 50% of the time then you are ready for online. Meanwhile use your scav at Interchange to get loot and learn the map.
