is it really worth doing night raids for quests like Pestily recommends? I might've just had a bit of bad luck rn... going for the customs office building I got a really close spawn. Someone with a suppressor shot me up a bit when I first started climbing the stairs. Managed to recover and retreat further into the hangar. A second enemy enters the arena, tries to make his way up the stairs and gets shot at by guy number one. I have a good shot on guy 2 and take him out with a headshot. Guy 1 obviously knows I'm still here, but we play around with eachother and he eventually pushes in and gets popped in the head as well. Didn't have much on him, but I nevertheless looted some of his stuff and proceeded up the stairs. Once up, guy number three, previously unknown, opens up on me and eventually kills me... Pretty sure we all came for the exact same quest.

@inland raft First thing to do is RESET EXPECTATIONS. Doesn’t matter how much or how well you do in other shooters. This is a knowledge game. You will die and die due to lack of experience not gear. Experience. It will require persistence and commitment. You need to learn maps, scav behavior, PMC behavior, what is good vs. bad ammo. Practice OFFLINE mode, with scavs on, at Customs. Try to make it from spawn to exit 10 times. IF you can do this 50% of the time then you are ready for online. Meanwhile use your scav at Interchange to get loot and learn the map.

@waxen forge can't say this is a flaw of your 50% offline plan, but it seems like almost cheating at some level because once I make the Customs run a couple of times, I know exactly where the scavs are, and I can skulk around the edge and make it most times. I actually try to seek out a group and get into gunplay. But I don't know that doing this 50% is giving me the confidence, or the ability, to fend off player scav and PMCs when online.

Don’t overuse flea. Level the traders. They will sell you better stuff as you level them often for less than the price on flea. Armor will be new vs. damaged. Flea is players selling to players to make a profit. Taking advantage of those who cannot buy the same items from traders. To level traders you need to so a specified amount of transactions “spent” with them plus level character and trader reputation. Check prices for tech/hardware on Flea vs. therapist and sell to therapist if it’s close. Weapons break down and sell to Skier then rest to Mechanic. Maybe check flea price for suppressors and some higher end optics vs. Skier price but don’t waste time selling basic weapon on flea.
