I said it on the last TarkovTV live podcast but I will say it again.

The game is gaining popularity really fast and I (personally) don't like how it's goings so fast, cause it requires a lot of attention in terms of game stability, server availability and so on. It also requires part of the team is working 24/7 and on the weekends, which is not cool at all. But this are the Rules of the Game and we totally understand everything.

We add new game servers like constantly every day as well as player load rises everyday. And yes - it's not related to content production at all. It just require some time. We added 5 new servers today, 4 yesterday, dozens are planned to be added in the nearest time. Also we are working hot on live environment, upgrading servers on the go and it's a pretty risky process.

Also with such HIGH load some server hardware just fails! It is pure stress test of hardware and our minds :)

So, backend and gameservers are the number one priority of backend and admin team.

P.S. In the rush hours try not to use custom picked servers. Use "auto" instead."

Upgrade workbench in Hideout (2 screw nuts, 2 bolts, multitool which you can buy from Mechanic). Go to flea and examine every weapon and weapon part. Then you can right click on the weapon and "edit preset" will be able to see everything that will go on the weapon (as long as you took the time to examine flea) even if you don't have the item in stash. Looks like the pic below.

Do you get skill points for using items outside of raid? So for example eating food from your stash, using meds from stash or discovering new items from traders/flea market? I can see some small xp popups when doing stuff outside of raids but I'm not sure about skill points.

There is more than one 7.62 calibre though. There is 7.62x39 and 7.62x51 also a shorter round 7.62x25 I think which is a pistol round.

The AKM series does have decent amount of recoil, but there are an insane amount of mods you can do to it to reduce recoil. Not all of them are bank breaking either.

@atomic knoll VSS and AS VAL. They have very low recoil and very high rate of fire. Shooting them is more like shooting an SMG. You tend to shoot a lot of bullets. but the ammo for the VSS is more than a 9mm, typically.

@prime shale what mods you goin with on the SVD? For limited mods PSO will work fine. But for a bit more you can add the SVD low mount and anything you want. My SVDs have the SAG chassis so I can use a TAC-30 on plain rings, and an MPR45 with a spacer and micro t-1 back up sight.

When I teach new players I start on interchange, I stick to garage though. Then as they get more comfortable move up to tech stores and OLI. Eventually moving to fully roaming the mall.

I found that just putting a PK-06 on the MPR 45 tucked it in too close to the scope, so a spacer works great, but you need the aimpoint mount, and you are limited to either the Micro t-1 or romeo 4 sight. Both of which are decent.

If you killed a PMC and looted him, I dont think you would've gotten a run through. It was probably showing you the previous raid.
