First thing to do is RESET EXPECTATIONS. Doesn’t matter how much or how well you do in other shooters. This is a knowledge game. You will die and die due to lack of experience not gear. Experience. It will require persistence and commitment. You need to learn maps, scav behavior, PMC behavior, what is good vs. bad ammo. Practice OFFLINE mode, with scavs on, at Customs. Try to make it from spawn to exit 10 times. IF you can do this 50% of the time then you are ready for online. Meanwhile use your scav at Interchange to get loot and learn the map.

-Step 1, MOVE. Don't stand still. Find cover - hard object, hill, bush if you have to.

-Can you do something unexpected? Sprint to other cover, and so on? Up to you if you want to go find them or just run.

Customs isn't great for loot @calm gust. I recommend checking out interchange in a scav run and learning that. @fathom barn Little late, but if you're gonna run 5.45 use BP or nothing at all. The PS and T are jokes, unless you can consistently hit people in the face or they're un-armored. 1st: 7N1 2nd: BS 3rd BT 4th BP. It's expensive but worth it most the time.
