Also pistols are easy to pocket. If you want a gun that you'll get back frequently. Insure a mp153 shotgun with a buttstock. It's like a 7x2. Sells for very little and takes up way more space than it's worth.

Every so often when you are in the Crossroads exfil t he timer does not show up on screen but it is counting down. You just have to stay in the spot and you will exfil. Also (less often) happens with Outskirts on Woods.

It's not supposed to be quick. You're gonna be at it for a while. The quest is designed to be done over time. You'll get them all eventually.
Focus your raids. Think about what you need, and then go out looking for those items.
Think about where you might go for them, bring gear that will serve you well for your surroundings.
Try grouping up in the LFG channels, I can tell you running with even just one more person watching your back makes things SOOOOOO much easier
Don't fight everyone. If you're looking for items and you get some but then there's a scav close by or players. Think about whether you want to take that fight, prioritize your engagements.
Obviously as you get better and you build up your money and equipment, then you'll get that option to take more fights, be a little more aggressive.
Personally I played like a pansy for the first couple weeks to over a month. Just hit the deck and go silent when you see geared players.

I usually hit the two by the river, and the two by zb-1011
as far as good loot spots in general on customs:
- two weapon crates in smokestack on the walkways
- two weapon crates in storage building
- the old gas station table (can spawn almost any item in the game)
and I never fuck with dorms or gas station if I don't have to. My usual route is a big loop that hits all the spots south of the main road and east of the river.
