Dying from nowhere is a map knowledge issue. Nothing you can do there aside from keeping at it. It takes like 20-30 deaths on a map before you start to know where to look, what the flow is like, where the hotspots are, etc.

Its pretty easy, everyone is is in every bush overlooking anything and everyone spawn rushes or camps nearby spawns at the start, then all go in the water treatment direction. Also theres always at least one person in the chalet at all times. Thats baisically it. I dont think 3 raids is enough to fully get it but its a stupid ass map with a stupid ass flow

One does not simply learn reserve

at the start just dont kill anything unless it hits (not shoots at u) first
when ur scavving u have nothing to lose

ull start hearing the difference in guns

then ull be able to differentiate whether it was a scav or pmc shooting at u

u can also just fuck around for a while and then u can reset ur account (every 3 weeks) if u feel like it and u havent made much progress yet

also pmcs tend to be heavier = louder + slower

but id only worry about that on maps like reserve which has a bunch of high tier loot but also raiders ("soldier scavs", u dont lose rep if u kill them) so ppl tend to bring their good (heavy) gear there and also tend to stack up a lot making them heavier

yeah, I set up a bind so that I tourniquet on press and AFAK on release for one button heals, and I put my tactical device keybinds on side buttons. other than that I think it'll just be a matter of simple build, simple play style, be slow and go at a pace I can sustain.

very long range you need to account for bullet drop, you can do this within the ADS by account for distance and zeroing the optic accordingly, or by using the tic marks on the optic itself for the distance you’re shooting at.

I have AMD, i actually dont use post fx and i only have my vibrance up in adrenalin. Honestly, i came from a nvidia card and for some reason its just harder to get visibility on AMD, but ive found that only using my monitor settings has worked best for me. Don't set your contrast too high, it helped me get better visibility in darker areas but outside, with the snow, im being blinded.

Tip - extract is always on the furthest end where u spawn (except a few maps).

As a PMC each spawn will always give a certain group of extractions, typically situated on the other side of the map. But there are extractions that are always available to every spawn that usually have a requirement (e.g green flare, no backpack or red rebel ice pick)

It’s worth familiarising yourself with the 0 requirement extracts as they are the most used and the ones you will be taking most the time as a low level

On ground zero, if you spawn south of the map, you get the northern Emercom as the only 0 requirement extract. But vehicle extract will be there (for 20k) and green flare will be there (with a body with a guaranteed green flare spawn) so you have 3 you could take

You’ll get better with experience. I was where you are not too long ago. I usually keep a map up on my iPad. Also, I’m in the habit of now keeping a green flare in my spec pocket, and enough rubles in my secure container to keep options open for extract. The green flare especially as it’s useful on other maps too

I would focus on getting traders leveled up. Try and group quests based on location. If you’re trying to see if all the quests are in the same area, Tarkov wiki is good for it and still won’t give spoilers if u just look at the map for a plan to get started. Tarkov wiki helps with items needed for quest too like keys for instance.

yeah don’t listen to that guy. spend some time in PvE learning maps, exvils, tasks, and other game mechanics. if you’re really struggling it’s a great way to learn the basics and some of the AI behaviors. eventually you can switch back to PvP when you have a better understanding of your surroundings and other game mechanics which will give you a great advantage in future PvP fights

but be warned, PvP combat is totally different than what you will experience in PvE so you will have to learn that regardless. it’s just easier to focus on learning that when you know more about everything else.

jafar i heavily suggest you something i probably suggested to others(or you) before. practice raid while having a 3d map in the background, it will be very easy to figure out what is where

depends on how you die, 28% is below average of course, i think around 40% survival rate is fine

mostly your deaths will be caused by wrong decisions of movement, sometimes its because ur gear is not good enough, sometimes its just literally luck and chance and sometimes the enemy is just better

but i suggest thinking twice everytime u want to go from point a to b, remember when and where u heard any important sound and move accordingly

That is for scav. Let's say your scav karma is 0 u gonna get 2/3 extracts. If u start going neg (killing scav/scav bosses/Santa as scav) your total scav extract will go down. But if u have positive scav karma more extracts will open for u. At max (6.0) you will have every single scav extract open no matter where u spawn.

For PMC, if u spawn north extract will be south. Always the opposite. Let's say u play interchange. If u spawn anywhere infront of the big store, extract will be behind it and vice versa.

its kinda trash, you have to do it again but once you win once, switch to normal EFT, then switch back to arena get your 2nd win, switch back to regular EFT again and it should work

you have to do that every time if you lose after your first win btw

the most likely situation is you were too close to kollontay, who is a boss that spawns at the mall in the upper levels. if you tick him off by being too close, they will agro on you, and can shoot you… not just the boss guards, regular ai scavs. even if they shoot you, you CAN NOT shoot them back.

yep, like if you go too close to kollontay or any other boss, like kaban or idk reshala… if there are ai scavs around who see that you got agroed by them (i think it’s more than once) so like once is a warning, twice/three times it’ll cause ai scavs to attack

it just takes time, it’s by their outfit, how they walk, how they interact with things etc. but primarily up close it’s about their clothing

yeah to an extent, it’s not just the gear it’s the clothing itself. shirt, pants, jackets etc. but PMC can look pretty damn close to a scav if they want, and a scav can look very much like a PMC if he finds enough gear

again it just takes time

If you're a scav you can hit f1 to do a scav voiceline
it's sort of standard if you hear another scav voiceline to do it back
but yea, it comes with time
PMC's have more camo, scavs wear brighter colors
PMC's are more likely to have large bags and helmets
but just to be safe, I wouldn't shoot at anything that doesn't shoot you first

Double tap 'Y' and bring up the voice menu while on scav, look for the 'Need Help' voiceline and bind it to F2 by right clicking the voiceline option. Use this in-raid, and any AI scav within earshot of you for quite a ways away will come sprinting to your location to help you. Also a cool tool as a noob to see if that noise you hear is a scav around the corner or a player. If it doesnt come running to you, it's a player scav, (Try F1) and other than that, a player. Can be useful to help apply pressure to PMCs in a tight space

dont be, they are there to be used :p Something ive done a lot and sometimes still do is start with a cheap kit, get yourself a PACA and an SKS + backpack and do what you can with that. If you survive, you upgrade your kit, get a better armor, exchange the internal magazine for a 20rd one, maybe put a sight on it, a helmet with the next raid and so on
