you need to progress in chapter tour and give 5 pmc dogtags to prapor after he wants them from you

you need to play in shoreline to progress to that chapter in tour

basically you need to go to a specific spot, locate an entrance, then go a little bit further, go to the payphone-ish thing with button, press it, and talk to prapor, then go and extract from shoreline

ok, first of all, interchange is the first map so you are very,very far away from unlocking reserve. reserve,lighthouse,labs and terminal are the maps that you'll unlock the last

theres also powerstation exits on top right as you can see but they aren't straightforward so read the descriptions on them in the map

also you can see the path to river on middle left, its a flare extract too, do u know how to do flare extracts?

walk normally until you see a notification on your bottom right of the screen saying "signal flare area" then use a green flare to the air(make sure the flare actually goes into air fully instead of forward) then wait a few seconds and go

in my case they were also just way less based on survival and more towards pvp, as if he was playing a competitive 5v5 game. i tell him not to overload his kit as we are going to factory with shotguns, then i see a suppressed dvl with razor scope and tier 5 helmet with no body armor(gave him the kill loot and told him to sell them all cuz he was broke, and he sold only the body armor...)

and ofc he ragequits after losing the dvl cuz it was the only valuable thing he had left

im also a steam player and i only got like 300 hours, and i am rich af rn bc i've been playing the game like a loot goblin, for example i just killed 2 (lvl44 and lvl55) with a dirt cheap aks then literally hid in a corner for 30 mins with their loot just so i could extract safely when no one was in the map anymore

oh and twitch drops, collected both the initial launch and the christmas ones and sold almost everything,barely used the guns and only kept the cases that i got

some things that help, people actually listen to your VOIPs sometimes. 8 times that i actually "surrendered"(no ammo/no gun etc.) the dudes actually listened,and i also do the same thing to others like the hatchlings, so try to communicate if they are close.

i remember my 5th raid, we are in underground interchange with barely any items, 4 dudes start shooting, theres 2 of us and we actually said dont shoot we dont have gear and they said drop your guns and come up, then they just waited for like 10 seconds and we picked our guns back and both them and us went separate ways like nothing happened

or another case, i killed a dude who just killed my friend, then a few mins after that i see 2 hatchlings, instead of shooting them i just told where my friend and the other guy's dead body was so they could pick up free gear

interchange dudes are a different breed,except from the first case with 4 ppl i told, all pmcs i've seen were just so different from those in other maps. like DUDE theres 2 mins left and a pmc attacked me in a random bathroom in interchange, i killed and checked him, he was lvl45 with a silenced and scoped RFB and he had tier 5 gear with death shadow, THERES 2 MINS LEFT WHY ARE U HERE its not even related to a pmc kill quest too

Is interchange good for scav? I just been doing ground zero since it is so small and I don't have to look at a map 90 times to figure out where extract is. But I am very navigationally challenged, and have to constantly look at a map or I'm completely lost

as the other guy said before, aim the flare like 70 to 80 degrees instead of a full 90 where u just aim all the way up(that makes the flare go more to the backward side) in ALL flare extracts this will make you die be careful, also are you really sure that you were in signal flare area really?

look up and make sure the flare stays up in the air close to where you are, you can see the flare itself and where it stays up after u shoot it, also ur sure that its the correct color flare right? dont mistake the colors, some ppl die to that

also dont run INSTANTLY after you shoot the flare, if you run before the flare reaches enough height you'll also get shot, just wait like 3 seconds or so to be safe, and if ur not sure that the flare is used correctly, walk slowly so you can just go back if you get shot by sniper once, the sniper will always 2 tap thorax so you'll always have a chance to retreat unless you go too deep

Attachments dont matter as much but ammo definitely matters. In a bolty, you get once shot, with most people wearing helmets, you'd want at least 40 pen so you can go through ulachs, bastions, and any other class 4 helmet reliably. Shotguns are slightly better early on, buy buckshot if you havent unlocked piranha and go for legs. Try to get at least 6 round tubes for the mp-155/mp-153.

This and if you play PVP, stats carry over. Stuff like your character level, strength and endurance etc. In both PVE and PVP, you can transfer over roubles to aid your cash flow. GP coins and Lega medals too which can be used to barter with ref for meta weapons, ammo, and keys. LL3 ref gives you access to ammo like M80 and .300 CBJ which are both great rounds with >40 pen. LL4 ref gives you access to labs cards for 14 gp coins among even better ammo and guns.

I mean, it definitely helps. If you have arena but you've only started in 1.0, someone whos been playing for thousands of hours will still beat you in progress and in fights, so it only helps to an extent.

But its definitely a cheat code to get really good at PVP quick

You are able to get bigger safe boxes through progressing yes. you can get theta by progressing the great heights questline, epsilon container by progressing the punisher questline or beta from peacekeeper for a expensive barter

there is also kappa but that requires you to do around 260 quests total

And I am pretty sure that if you do get unheard it ill add even more stash space yes

guys it cannot just be me who finds marlin underwhelming, like, i struggle alot sniping when using it compared to any other thing i use, m1a,dvl,sv98,m700, i tried to give it another shot and got 2 matches now, one of them i literally see a dude prone-looting a dead body with 35x scope and his untar helmet is moving, i shoot perfectly and his lvl3 TANKS two bullets and he dies to third while standing up, then another match, this time i brought the 42 pen ME instead of the cheap one, took someone 4 body shots(he was wearing some lvl 3 or 4 armored rig) to die, then i moved on and 10 mins later i see someone on sawmill, i stand perfectly still, accounting bullet drop, the dude is also staying still, and boom 5 bullets absolutely vanishing, why is this issue only with marlin for me?

Depending on how good you are at PvP and closing gaps, sometimes it’s easier to hang around choke points that have high traffic, the hole in the wall by crackhouse is almost guaranteed to have someone walk through it in the first 5 min etc. if you hover around hot spots and wait, you’ll get the advantage (gun readied and audio queues)

Another spot is the exit of dorms providing you can’t be first there. Or green flare (people go there to use it or just to walk by)

Customs is great for the toolboxes that rarely get looted in the central buildings, the building above the co-op extract is particularly good. Another good option is smugglers base north east of shoreline
