It's just a term for what you're doing, it's not actually a punishable thing to do
The intended use of insurance is to get your stuff back if you die, but the way it works is you get back anything that is left in raid so nothing is stopping you from dropping your things and switching it out for something better you found

uhh theres a few ways that someones gonna tell you in a bit but heres mine, dont shoot as a scav, at all(unless its VERY clear whos who)

if i see anyone intimidating i just take off instantly

Even players scavs will kill you for your loot

Sporty, raggy colourfull clothes, usually no pistol holster, unmodded bad guns and bad armor

Hear a scav mumbling with Russian voice line?
You could answer back with same pressing f1

But just better of keep distance

The only real use for melee is to either bring a red rebel for the special extracts or to break glass without spending a bullet.
For actual melee they do about as much damage as a 9mm per hit and you're usualy hitting their arms so it'll take about 15 hits depending on what knife but even the best are horrible.

The rarest achievement I have is for five melee kills in arena and that was mostly on afk players

I found one of the Custom Guns NL545 (GP) 5.45x39 assault rifle and tried to mod it and noticed that the scope is very far away from the PMC body and when I look down the scope its as if my PMC isn't putting the scope all the way to his eye but the gun is fine otherwise. I've tried with both a Vudu as well as a Tac30.

Has anyone seen this before or know what would cause this? Are there certain stocks or mods that "push the gun back" like this when aiming? Maybe the foregrip?

How do "normal" people cope with learning extracts? I am even too dumb to find them when I look at a map at times,
as some are quite inaccurate and don't show which level the exit is on in buildings.
Which means... I may even run out of time.
And (most) exits also don't have a glowing sign that says "EXTRACT HERE =>".
Scav extracts seem to be even less visible/obvious than PMC/shared ones.

Try using tarkov dev maps they have accurate extracts, its aprox a 30m diameter from where the marking is on the map to where the extracts are. This saved me during my first wipe

another thing that helps is realising there's probably literally one-two "normal" extract per spawn per map for you.
if you spawn customs anywhere on the right, zb1011 will be the only normal extract. if you spawn on the left, you get trailer park and crossroads
woods you get outskirts/zb14, or roadblocks/zb16 depending on the side.
