i'll give your settings a try, its just how bright grass and bushes are tbh. they're so detailed that I can't see players when theres lots of them

okay i am not a beginner in the slightest i got like 1500 hours but im only just returning to tarkov for the first time since the armour rework and i have a question. everyone knows the age old myth that you could mail slot the maska if you shot at the little slit in the face shield. i know this was a myth pre armour rework because of the way armour worked not being an actual model but just a protection level applied to the hitbox sections it said. which is why you could get head ears'd through the side of a fast mt face shield. but did they change that? i know that soft armour on your thorax still works that way but your plates are an actual model with their own hitbox but is that the case for helmets too?

At the launcher hit the gear wheel for settings and it'll say "clear cache" on that list

Also go to clear logs and delete everything in the logs folder

If you don't clear logs and cache the game starts to run like garbage idk if it could cause connection issues but I suppose it's possible

Yes. I die early due to shitty ammo and armor against better armor and better ammo. Thats unless you have the unheard edition, then you shouldn't die because you have pretty good stuff at the start

Yeah, I have the maps and all that because of PvE but like I have never won a fight against a real player for real. Everytime I have killed a real person, its by playing not how I would like to, like camping or I just get lucky and kill someone as their back is turned. What is the meta to this game? Is it camping? Majority of the times that I have been killed is due to someone like camping a building I am in or camping outside my room, and like they will be there for 10+ minutes because I will try to outwait them.

The best way I think is to outplay the other person. Like do something unpredictable they wont predict

I come from playing CSGO which you can shift walk which makes you completly silent so maybe thats why I think im so loud but literally every raid im killed by a headshot before I even get a chance to loot or extract.

Is it best to like for a beginner, camp out a lot of the beginning half of the match and then loot slowly? I just want to know how to play it safe to begin with. I was playing intechange and literally didn't even go in the mall, I was looting the outskirts of the map heading to an extract so i can do the task but still ended up getting killed by a random guy that just ran out of nowhere. I watched a few youtube videos and I try to avoid common PvP areas on the maps but no matter where I am I get killed lol

the new outside camps are popular so there isnt really too much to loot on IC outside u can get without being in a POI

u could wait out the game but then ull have playerscavs everywhere instead

and the loot will be gone

if ur only goal rn is to do the extract task id just run to the closest extract and hide there until the raid is 7 minutes in so u can get teh survived status

if u run on the outside of the mall like kinda close to it u shouldnt meet anyone at least 1-2 minutes after raid start cuz every1 is already inside or at the camps

but everything depends a lot on where u spawn
