@wary timber there are alot of different types of guides on youtube. but spray and prey doesnt always work if you are not closer than 10 meters to the opponent.
build weapons on more -recoil and all weapons build recoil when you press mouse1, learn to control that. burst your enemies? one tap enemies?
go offline raid on factory with 10000 of bot ai and let hell loose. find the momentum of the sway in the gun.
maybe you have wrong mouse sensitivity?
do u use windows mouse acceleration (wich i personally hate)?

find all your "fix the seat"-moments when you enter your car for driving, do i wear gloves while driving etc

If you feel like youre dying out of nowhere you can always record your gameplay, most of the time youll spot the person, to improve you can try arena or offline match on factory and put scav spawn on max, your goal in a short/ mid range fight is to not use ADS but that comes with habit

Whenever you are unsure if you will need an item for something later, make sure to check its wiki page. Every item has listed which quests or hideout modules it is required for

If you are new, I'd recommend against keeping too much stuff that you will need way later on, because otherwise you won't have any space in your stash. I'd keep a cat or two for the Docs case trade, but they are not too rare, so you will find more once you need them for the quest

I did focus alot on mapknowledge and just survival the first weeks, get the flow of the game.
What heals to use and when (Heavybleed+HP+CMS to cut legs).
Randomly i found some loot (both good and trash) and sold them to Traders for more money.

I learned about where quests were doing research on the internet (tarkov wiki is really good). Search "questname tarkov" on google for example.

And then just Extract.

Scavl helps you experiment without the fear of death/loose gear.

Learn to manage scav-bots on your pmc, avoid unwanted combat (example you hear alot of silenced shots/grenades) for maximum survival at the start. Later on you want to get into the hot mess 😉

And ask yourself what your goal or mission is in a raid. Is it to kill alot? Is it to loot/get money or just questing? Dont choose all three because you are no Super Hero in this game

You can prob run lvl 5 amor. I havent checked the prices yet but try running lvl 5 armor 4 helmet and good ammo call it m856a1 or m855a1. SSA AP, m80 m61 or m62. Good pen good damage

yeah i usually have decent stuff by this point in wipe, and i havent actually had to resort to scav farming in a while, but ground zero tasks have burned so many kits and roubles and im still stuck on saving the mole. il admit i joined the wipe a little late, but usually that isint a problem. but the split queue is making any and all tasks a money sink, and furthermore all the experienced players dont even get actual pvp, instead they just bully the new players who, if they dont look for a team, sherpa, or have any friends with the game, will likely quit if they spend all their time in the lobby after being turned to a red splatter by the level 65 rushing terragroup with a full set.

Most scavs spawn sawmill or fob but they can spawn usec camp, scav bunker, abandoned village, scav town, sniper mountain, scav house, attachment cabin

@pale saffron Its easy to find bodies since alot of pvp often happends at "the usual hotspots", Vacuum one body and throw your bag in at your temproary secret hideout spot (where you wont be find or die). Go get the 2nd player's stuff and bring it back to your secret spot.
There you can freely loot (and browse, empty ammo etc) in harmony. Think like a squirrel!

u would need map knowledge for the rotations on each map and know which are the hotspots like dorms stronghold etc etc, scav streets if ur pc cant run streets go reserve as scav u will most likely get money and be able to extract if you dont encounter gluy(gluhar scav boss) or a pmc camping/sniping somewhere

pvp can be rough but once you get some map knowledge u should be ok although in maps like factory and gz which are small af they camp the main roads and stuff and ur surv rate is probably not gonna go well since these 2 maps are mayhem the second u spawn in

I guess its more easy than to travel on Woods. The Health Resort in the middle of the map can be somewhat like a labyrinth at start but its mostly 3 floors on each wing.
Water runs straight through in the center of the map, else just grass and trees ish.

The Adar is best I believe. Moa is good enough to kill him and his buddies and you can take follow up shots quickly
