The way I got over gear fear is by running gear that i can buy back, like i used to be terrified of running a back bigger than a day pack but once i was able to buy raid bags all i did was put rigs and meta shit and go crazy

So when I get cool gear NOW, it's an opportunity to use cool gear and I just have fun with using it! Your gear is only a resource to get you more loot and progress. If you don't use it, you're handicapping yourself!

I would definitely say to just play, you can vigorously study the game over the next month and get pretty decent but being comfortable literally just takes play time. Learn all the maps for 1, learn all the gun/caliber sounds for 2 (easier to tell what could be a scav or boss or pmc) and learn at least 3 dedicated ways easy OR hard to make money, lots of good youtube guides on there.

And most importantly, have fun

Anytime, i would definitely use the map on a 2nd monitor if you can, learn all the spawns and have a strategy before every raid. I have 600 hours and trust me i still lose 60% of my raids.

Offline raids can help with map navigation and learning extracts, playing with someone knowledgeable is probably the easiest way to learn. One thing that I've seen throw a lot of new players off is that extracts aren't always the same, they're based off where you spawn for PMC. Check your extracts before heading to the one that you learned and being like "why it no let me out"

Kind of have to weigh coverage vs weight. At minimum lvl 3 soft armor backing, level 5/6 plates.

As far as what you can get from trader though, tier 5 armor I guess.

I'll typically aim for an armored rig if I intend on red rebel extract I guess. Not a dealbreaker, just if it's convenient based on what's in the stash

Well, I already know about the CPC and SD mod.2 being the best armor in the game, but I meant the armor the body armor that you put in the middle of your PMC, not the ones with the rig on it. Are stuff like the Korund and Gen4 good enough?

i called "sus" on the way he was killed (the speed of it). Of course, could have just been a gigachad. All in all, MY first impression. But as for improvement, imho he should not have rushed out like that in the open. Also unlucky that there was two so if the first guy heard that, the second was informed. But regardless of all that, everyone is REALLY fast to to act FAST on the word cheat, in one of the games that is very well know for cheats, without any proper arguments (yours excluded). If anyone knows anything about new players, I dare say i do, i spent hours helping out new players in LFGs get their bearings, because the game has a very crappy new player introduction (lacks it). People are also really fast to react to that opinion too.

In general, the sub is pretty toxic here in how they wanna fight words just to be opiniated, and it starts to irk me. The new guy can read what we say and get what he wants out of it. Even his cry (in the video) was wtf happened which is normal.

We don´t know how rikjam played seconds before that.
Both probably know from each other. Rikjam plays slow and probably didn´t move lots.
An enemy in cover can quick peak you, see where you are and adjust their aim in cover.
