yeah it assumes that you aim perfectly. However if you have like a 20% chance of hitting, you can be completely off the head and still have the head completely inside your grouping, so at that point it doesn't matter right :

the short of it is that the MOA stat you see in the inspect menu is wrong. In-game the accuracy is 1.4x worse. So 1 MOA is actually 1.4 MOA, in diameter of the grouping.

I'm basing this on my previous knowledge before all the new stuff.
I would've still taken a lvl5 Ceramic over lvl4 in some scenarios.
I was running the Gzhel back then because it was easy to get.

Even if Ceramic does get fcked easily, "weak" rounds that don't penetrate lvl5 easily will not actually destroy it that quick, you will notice a difference and it does hold its strength for a fair bit.
Now, I wouldn't run it on high intensity maps/locations, I was running it on Woods mostly where I could quickly run away and disappear if I needed to

And I about the degrading, I genuinely mean it, weak stuff won't really degrade it.
You might think of it like in real life where after a couple of shots it will shatter, that's not really what happens in game.
You don't have to be worried about getting shot by 9mm PST or some bad rounds from a Scav and the armor shattering and then being useless when you encounter PMCs and a greater threat, those rounds won't do much to it.

And I mean ... even 2-3 of 7.62x39 PS won't really damage it enough to make an impact

Because I think that's what a lot of people worry about(I used to as well, until I started using Ceramic for a while) when it comes to Ceramic, they think they'll get hit by a scav with shitty ammo and it will ruin their armor for the rest of the raid, that won't really happen.

I mean ... yea, if we're talking about lvl5 (because to be fair, I wouldn't go lower than 5 on Ceramic, especially since a lot of other materials are available at lvl4), it will stop most rounds you come across and you won't really feel a thing

Up until a certain point.
Because if we're talking about lvl5 (or6), you have to keep in mind, that is a lvl5 armor, that is a strong armor and even if damaged, it will still stop plenty of rounds.
Before the armor update I would re-run Gzhel's, Like ... I would grab a new one, die with it and get it back in insurance fully destroyed (because nobody wanted it), repair it and run it again because it was still actually really good and it would perform like ... a lvl4/lvl4+ or smth like that.
Even if it only had like ~70% of its original durability it still had the resistance of a lvl5 so it would not degrade that easily from light rounds and would stop those first 2-3 shots of higher tier ammo

I find it a tad difficult to explain my experience with it, but ... it works, and it's good.
You'd have to just use it for a while and pay attention to how it behaves

Ah just sell the gear you find. That way, players wont lie and say you stole it from them. I guess they might've generated it from their hide-out which can be an argument. Regardless, if you won it fair and square it is --- safer --- to purchase your own from traders. I wouldn't want to wear the gear of someone else anyways. Game has something called height over bore implemented. Basically the bullet exists your barrel not your scope

But hey if you have it zeroed (page up and page down) to 50m at 50m your barrel and scope will be aligned

Well they're slightly over your barrel also your gun is auto zeroed at 50m trajectory isn't flat etc

If you aim at something real close and shoot, how much lower you will shoot should match how high your sights are

You can more or less see when your barrel is by getting to cover you can aim above and mouse wheel and Ctrl allows you to regulate how high you are
