Can someone explain to me how weapon mounting works? Is it like COD where any edge and or flat surface can be mounted on or is it different?

Its wonky and some surfaces can be mounted on and some struggle with it. You kinda just gotta try it out to find out. Some surfaces can only be mounted to if youre at correct height, so you might need to adjust your stance to do it and having a bipod also changes where you can or cant mount its weird its wonky, the fields of fire are even werider and harder to guess. But if you can get the system to work like you want it to its pretty strong

You'll want to keep tier 4 armour and at least tier 3 helmets in mind when picking ammo, with rapid fire weapons such as 556 you can get away with a little bit less pen but best to get the A1 ammos for 556.

Nah, shotguns are quite long range in tarkov even with buckshot you can facetap someone from 20m and stuff. But you should move in such a way to end up as close to your enemy when fighting

Sometimes when thats an issue for me on kill quests i pick up scav weapons and fire them untill dry in various directions, simulating a fight. Pretty often people come snooping around when you do that and yoi can ambush them

It is not possible, each time you repair something it loses maximum durability, this plate has been repaired so many times that its maximu durability is now only 7, this measn that the protection it provodes is nowhere near class 6. Theres nothing you can do with this particular plate anymore, maybe sell it

Well if youre experienced in sniping this is pretty logical, the target is 550m away the scope is zeroed to 450m. The difrence he has to acount on is another 100m so 1 milldot but m61 flies faster than the round 308 guns are zeroed for so the arc is gonna be shallower so not a full milldot but 0.8

Im not sure if i coukd come up with that awnser as fast as that guy but i dont snipe too much and he sounds like he does

First before going into a raid on the map selection you need to select the marathon mode in the top right and play marathon, its gonna put you at ground zero and from there you come up to places where you can trasit after the transit timer passes and then you press f and a screen for sending loot to stash will ahow up, after youre done with that its gonna start extracting you

On most scopes 1 milldot is 100m but you gotta take into account that moat 308 rifles are zeroud for the balistics of m80 so if youre using a difrent round tge mildots will not be exact

Honestly you just gotta keep it in mind and feel it. If a round is faster than default then the drop will be less and if its slower the drop will be more, the difrences usually arent very big so just a tiny correction will usually do the trick

check the table for mil dots. Mil dots are a consistent size and equate to a certain distance. So for example at 500m 1 mildot is 50cm, so in the case of M61 in this table with 240cm of drop, you would need to aim 4.8 mildots above your target

Yeah, but if I zero to 450 the drop becomes 90 cm and Id need to aim 1.6 mildots above, right?

Cause at 550mildots equate to 55cms of drop

In the video it was actually 0.8 mildots, exactly 2 times less.
