I would recommend you watch a beginners guide on youtube, Pestily has a TON of different guides just look through his catalog

But its also important to just jump into the game and to explore at your own pace instead of relying on a map or a guide, that way you learn the map at your own pace and you dont feel so pressured to do something you arent comfortable with yet.

Food for thought, if you spawn on one side of the map, your extract will ALWAYS be on the other side of the map, unless you spawn somewhere in the middle.

So if you spawn at village on woods (the one with car extract), you find the lake and walk around it with the water on your left, follow that all the way down and youll hit outskirts (which would be your extract).

I will say though, take full advantage of the Official EFT Wiki (https://escapefromtarkov.fandom.com/wiki/Escape_from_Tarkov_Wiki). Its chalk full of helpful information including how to complete every task in the game, the only time something isn't up to date is when there is a new event questline and that stuff gets updated as people figure out the puzzles.

I wouldn’t say it’s always, a lot of maps you will have certain extracts you always get that are not related to your spawn position, like shoreline and factory (and labs but don’t have to talk about that yet) it’s just that most of the time you get spawns opposite of you as well

Cause 5.45 aks early game are super common and a go-to since most other calibers aren’t really even available getting a couple packets from the attachment cabin on woods to shred early game armour is a pretty common move

Yeah best map if your tryna farm karma as a scav is factory for easy in and out raids, it’s not gonna make you money but sometimes you will get a nice enough gearset
