i'd start by learning the maps in offline mode, w maps online from the wiki or mapgenie. the first like hundred hours are sorta just information overload but the wiki can help. also prio your tasks for progression and just learn the maps that you need for the tasks you have, so probably gz -> customs/woods -> shoreline

like 90% of winning is just map knowledge and positioning

scav runs can also help w learning maps and keep you afloat financially

so for choosing a map u generally just wanna choose one u have a quest on, that will be ground zero for the first few tasks

Yea learning the extracts is tough. If you have a second monitor keep the map open on that or your phone and try and find major landmarks

while in raid press O twice to get a list of extracts, extracts with ???? have conditions to use them so go for those that dont have question marks, while in raid you just have to try to look for landmarks around you (buildings for example) and try to find those landmarks on the map and navigate using that
