Look up maps for wherever you're going.

Head into a practice mode, toggle on some AI scavs, and try to get a feel for the map, movement, gunplay, scav killing, etc.
When you're ready - try to scav into one of those maps and actually get some loot out.
Then you can take your PMC in and try to do some quests or loot or simply survive.
Good luck - you will die, try to have fun with it.

I played with a woods chad who would send off bait shots when he spawned in particular spots which would get other spawns to peak him, could hear a shot and know exactly where a dude was and where he was heading. It was wild levels of awareness.

The default flora is more armoured than the default press vest but has a small rig built into it, with the press vest you can take whatever rig you want and get more space.
You can also swap the plates in the press vest for higher tier ones and when you do that it becomes better than the flora by a mile, only problem being that it stands out, being blue and all.
Also the flora weighs a lot more than the press vest, keep that in mind.

it depends on your sight setup.
If you're running optics it's probably best to not, as your screen will be entirely black for a decent amount of time.
However for reflex sights it's not a big deal as you can have eyes on target throug the entire ADS process. So you might as well ADS.

yeah server lag exists but not for that long, even if the guy in the other room ping abused or there was some bad desync, he'd have appeared from the door frame while you were dying, plus if your friend died too and didnt see him rush all the way its not possible

To add to it, you went to spitting distance of that door to throw that nade (dont do that) and he didnt do anything, and personally, your mileage may vary i cant hear him move at all from the nade landing, and he wasnt visible in the other corner that the frag didnt blow so i really doubt he was in there, if you guys saw him go away left after killing your trio he must have went down and outside

The bullet hole above you does mean there was a line of fire there for some reason, your buddy is trying to smell his own breath on the wall instead of watching the door, and if he wallbanged you guys we would have heard the shots AT LEAST

the only option left for this to make sense is that he had a window angle with a small caliber that doesnt make much noise, because if he was a rage cheater he would have killed you both much quicker than that

You're not, the gun sways a lot more so you have to overdrag and correct your point fire, ADS makes you slower so you cant do it, so you're stuck correcting a point fire while only approximately knowing where to even aim and you have massive recoil disadvantage, compared to a crouched peeker exposing only 1/3 of their head with the reduced recoil
