If you get gamma much above 2.2 the picture gets pretty washed out, rising contrast helps bring back contrast at upper end without sacrificing raised blacks. Above 65 starts clipping highlights though

Obviously your specific monitor settings matter also so everyone will be different

What is a good Vert. and Horizontal recoil for an m4?

Im trying my skills at weaponsmithing and i dont know what i should aim for

I have 60 ergo right now, which i think is enough for what im going for
(basically an m4 i can hipfire full auto to close/indoors ranges and one that will stay stable and accurate enough to do semi auto or bursts at longer range)

Ergo doesnt really increase stability, it increases how fast you aim down sights, how long you can hold the gun up and how much sway you get from movement but even at zero ergo if you're immobile the gun wont sway around or anything

Take some time entering a new area to listen. Pay close attention to shots on the map and see if you can predict where people will be.
If there's no scavs where there usually are, be wary.
Look for other warning signs.
But yea, sometimes you just get unlucky

what probably happened, was he was resting and heard you sprinting up because of the binaural pop, and he set up an ambush. because you were sprinting, and he wasn't, he didnt give you an audio cue back. before he stopped, he was probably in transit also

There's also a non zero chance he heard you way way earlier while you were indeed clearing and he camouflaged himself and walked up slowly, just remember that open spaces you cant clear once and be good like a closed building, there's no door opening sound to alert you so you gotta look around for traveling people always, can never take for granted there isnt some that came up

when im out to loot i fkn loot and dgaf, most people will fk up the attack and give themselves away, a lot of people are poor at stealth and by moving quickly and rapidly your movement naturally will fk up their ambush, and good routing cover to cover. kind of hard to explain

once again with the binaural pop theyll know youre there so its better to do 10 7 minute raids than 2 40 minute raids because youll have a stronger pmc that way but heh

if you wanna play the way i play, sure. ill break it down a bit for you. you can though, adapt this to fit how you want to play

when i play, i like to set an objective for the raid. that objective is either pvp, loot, or questing and i stick to it. so say im doing a looting run

i know my route, and i stick to it. i typically like my loot runs to be only 7-14 minutes long and then extraction. this way, you beat a lot of the people that are rotating slowly, and you are usually uncontested at the extraction. doing it this way i barely see anybody.

during this time, i go as quickly as possible and move cover to cover and use my audio to detect enemies. i walk in cover, and run from cover to cover out in the open. doing this, i usually detect people coming to my loot spots, because im the first there

when i detect them, i set up the ambush. when i leave a loot spot, i jiggle peek and stuff to try to make sure nobody is there, but i keep moving

one thing that changed my perspective on the game is how little you actually encounter people if you keep moving. and if you do hear them, you can adjust the route to avoid or contest.

in my opinion, the longer you are in, the more risk. unpredicatable routes, scav players constantly, the variables are too much, and any scav player could theoretically be a cheater, so if you do short raids its better

no problem. one last thing on short raids. you get more pmc skills doing more raids than longer raids. your xp gain gets capped after a point. so someone doing 7 minute raids will gain str/end much faster than someone doing 40 minute raids

so shorter raids are the most effective way to get ahead of the competition, elite str/end is a game changer and very dominant in pvp

It got us multiple extracts, but then again, it has it down sides.

Thermals are expensive when you're running an expensive kit. One might get bored of the gameplay like that. Looting gets affected hugely by it and more.

We're not newbies exactly, but we want to be above average right now with our current team.

A KDR of 10 is what we're aiming for, and for that we need to improve gameplay.

We've started working on several strategies like boosting, grenade pushing, pre-fireing and baiting.

Whatever you do, just stay unpredictable for enemy. Dont take predictable paths, dont fight in a predictable manner.

There's not much unpredictability anymore in that fight I'd say. One either pushes, or gets a lucky shot on the dude.

I wouldnt attempt to push, if he anticipates. Why run in to a well prepared ambush?
If we have too and if we have the numbers, I would attempt to either grenade bait him or push together and catch him midreloading. Or just kill him by sheer ammount of guns

But again, not my play style to push into an ambush. Better retreat, gather info, see if he makes mistakes and repositions

One risky thing I don't like about the third floor is the fact that you can shoot through the closet.

If you're middle stairs you have a mad disadvantage.
