This is my exact complaint with it. EFT has always needed a deathmatch type gamemode that allows you to practice combat at a much faster rate than the normal gameplay allows. Arena is in the right direction, but there really needs to just be a straight up FFA deathmatch mode where you are playing and fighting the entire time.

Hopefully that gets added. As it currently stands, between queue times, load times, "intermission" times, death times, freeze times, etc. it's not at all efficient.

becaus strictly speaking DMR, you will have a hard time getting anything cheap. What trader level are you? because if you are low trader level, the only "cheap" DMR will be the SVD. Since DMR are late-game weapons were you need some progression to unlock them.

Playing dmr's is also way over kill for scav kills. You can also try the adar, its a good scav kill weapon. I also think the RFB will be over kill for your goals.

for killing pmc's it is way more important to pick the correct ammo then picking the "correct" weapon

yeah but correct weapon costs 30k and i get to use it for 3+ raids correct bullet costs 500 a bullet and i lose all 30 of them every time i die

it also all depends on how you play. If you want to train your aim with a weapon. Start a factory-offline raid and set the scav spawn raight higher and turn there difficulty up, then go for 100% headshoots

there is no "correct" weapon, if you cant afford (or dont want to) the good bullets. If you buy a weapon for 300k but load the worst ammo, that weapon will be worse then a 20k weapon with the best ammo (for player killing)

(of course tarkov is a dynamic game, and you can kill pmc's even with bad ammo, but its not about just picking a "correct" weapon)

also here is a tip: if you are tight on good bullets, you can first load 15 worse bullets and then 15 good ones. Like that you shoot your good ones first but can spread them out over multiple mags. Then you put the rest of your good ammo in your pouche and reload the good ammo in raid into the mags, after you shoot.

All lvl 1 traders, the glock hasn't done me much good but it could just be me

TT with AKBS.

At that level, investing into any real handgun with good ammo is both worthless and impossible: you'll still lose to people with armour if they're good enough, so you need to have less to lose.

TT is farmable, and you can safely insure it, making sure it comes back to you every time. No one really cares much for it, people pick it up as an extra or not at all.

Well, the TT round just doesn't have much going for it unless it's used in the PPSh, which wins -- or used to win, last I played it in 2021 -- with its sheer rate of fire.

What you will notice is that running just pistol and very little else makes you very mobile. Maybe it's in my head but it feels like you can generally do more, and you're not worrying about taking risks with a 12k build, really.

• The "looking for PvP" factor is one of the main reasons not to go Factory tbh. You will get those pistol kills with the TT but you will have to outplay, not outgun your enemies.

Well, uh, that's one way to do it. But I'd guess that he doesn't have level 15, given that the pistol quest is available early on.

And I mean, I've played both FN and Sr1mp builds back in 2021 extensively, and you shouldn't make the mistake of taking better guns to try to use them as rifles. You'll never beat someone who's equally aware of you and equally skilled, if they have a rifle and armor.

When I have a quest item from a raid and put it in the pouch so I don’t loose it if I die. If I get killed in raid the item is no longer having a found in raid sign and can’t be used to give back to traders so you achieve a quest!!!!

Definitely hit up a beginner guide video. Find something under 15-20 mins first then do a more in depth one a couple game play hours later.

After watching the quicker video, I'd offline raid factory for a couple raids to get used to movement.. practice hot keys and to practice scav killing and learn audio.

After that I'd go into an actual scav raid in the factory to get a safer irl environment. Try to loot + extract. If you can do that, then your getting progress

If your repeatedly dying to scav on scav violence then that's 60% on you putting yourself in a situation and 40% on the other individual who either mistakes you for bad scav/player or values the loot you have or about to scoop up more then the minor karma loss he'll get from it.

290 scav raids in this wipe so far, and I've only been scav on scaved a total of 8 times

Spamming F1 voice lines is 90% of the work preventing the death. The other 10% is noping out of areas and loot spots that already has a player scav in it that gives you sketchy vibes

Whenever I'm in a situation as a scav and I ask you to voice line and you don't, your getting killed or shot at homie

The rep gain from that mindset far out ways whatever loss I do get from idiots who don't voice line back

For the first 2-3 minutes of every raid, my PC (outside of the game) runs like absolute garbage. The game runs perfectly fine, but if I alt tab at all even just scrolling a web page is laggy and choppy. The biggest problem with this is if I try to record a clip from early on in a raid. The clip will be full of stutters. I have a 3080 + 7800x3d + 32gb 6000mhz ram + ssd + fresh win11. Any ideas?

As far as I am concerned, there's no valuable unlocks gated behind Setup. If you don't plan on trying to unlock Kappa (which is a huuuge undertaking), then you probably won't miss out on much of anything important by not doing Setup. I could be wrong and there might be some nice unlocks behind it, but I unlocked all the things I wanted without it.

Very easy to get to. I usally loot all of resort myself and then i could take the red rebel extract but i usually just take the car because its easy rep and nobody is ever over there typically. (In my experience so far)
