I'm still learning myself @coarse tiger but I've found that staying out of the streets and using the underground as much as possible to travel gets me to my destination safely. Also no sprinting unless you're 100% sure no one is around.

i also run abandoned factory the key is sub 1 mil i believe so its a good investment after you get familiar with the map

ive gotten 2 bitcoin tons of figures pro kills full medbox of stims and so much like labs cards and intel from filling cabinets

there are also little med shops and jewel shops that have nice spawns

this is the easiest way and took me about 5 - 7 hours to learn and after this you should be quite familiar with streets to do more complicated runs multiplying your income

that's a close one haha.
You'll notice at longer distance that if you're leaning while shooting the bullet will tag towards whichever way you're aleaning. As you're leaning left the bullet will travel more towards the left (caused by how the sight is set up to intercept with the bullet trajectory). If you did this same shot at longer range you'd more than likely have missed.
But good aim though!
However.... guy is already looking at you. This very much is still a gamble on your behalf, and so even though you made quick work of it, you have made mistakes leading up to this point.

My mentality is very much that you can loot any house and get more value than you would by looting a PMC, so there's no point in risking your life.
If you see that someone has something spicy that you really want, then I'd do every precaution to make sure you won't get sniped. Take a walk through the terrain to check spots, and use the "stick smoke grenade" to cover you while looting.
I will always carry 1 stick, 2 M18s and 2 frags.

I will always lay down to minimize the chance of getting spotted, as well as for the chance of them to shoot the dead guy instead of me.

you're wayy below having no barrel overswing, so changing the forward grip / stock for something with less recoil would help you out.
As for Ak103 vs AKM, make the build on both of them and compare the stats, while keeping in mind the default ammo of the weapons.

this was me , and to some extent still is but ive learned to get over the "gear fear" by doing a ton of factory runs and stacking rubles while playing arena to get a better understanding of the gunplay and get myself acquainted with actually engaging players

as a new player, once you have a couple mill .. even less.. whatever makes you feel comfortable.. you can put together a relatively inexpensive kit and just go play without worrying

4-5mill was good enough for me to feel OK .. and really just keep running factory as a scav.. you can loot up quick

if you dont know where all the stores are, i would go into a scav run with the map open on another screen. After youve gotten a hang of the map, do some practice runs of all the stores while trying not to look at the map. I do this when learning any map; it's like IRL how I try not to use a GPS whenever I dont need to, only when I'm going to places im not familiar with (bc ik there are people out there that rely on a gps everytime even to go home). And if youre doing it solo, you should definitely take your time. There's nothing wrong with playing slow, youre not a rat and you dont need to force yourself to play like the chads if you're questing. Survival is important. There's a trick used in the military (idk if this is true, i just heard it somewhere) that when they're on patrol/scouting, every few minutes they just stop and take just about a minute to just stop and listen. Applying this to Tarkov has helped me get the jump on people. Every 5-10 minutes I just stop in my tracks to listen for like 30-60 seconds and gather as much info around me as I can to help me plan my path ahead. Don't just "brute force" these quests, that's how you get sent to the lobby, and that's how you kill your enjoyment of this game

If you can be the first in, sj6 and do the route to all the stores, if not, waiting it out, looting some off areas and kind of ratting for half a raid until people are moving out is generally the best for not running into groups, may have one or two lingering
