Okay, well, each trader levels around the same time. I wouldn't do anything to "focus" on any trader in particular. Your quests should list out what map you should play on, or, alternatively, just give you a description on what/where to go.

like someone hold an angle on you, toss a nade that way and forced them to run away and you can push and shoot them, make sure you don't blow yourself up though. M67 is great for it since it give you 5 seconds

Start in Woods(my suggestion, start anywhere but Factory). You want to get one map down well. Don’t spread yourself thin early on. Focus on getting good enough at one map you can always go back there and make money if you need to, then go learn others.

Use these maps - they'll look cluttered at first. Hit "Hide All" on the left-hand toolbar, then scroll down and only toggle on "Extractions" and "Locations". That'll give you a pretty good look - feel free to toggle on some loot options as you go

Head into a practice mode on one of those maps, toggle on some AI scavs, and try to get a feel for the map, movement, gunplay, scav killing, etc.
When you're ready - try to scav into one of those maps and actually get some loot out.
Then you can take your PMC in and try to do some quests or loot or simply survive.

This works if you're worried about losing meds yeah, personally, I like to do this, it's just personal preference but Grizzly is so cheap right now it's way cheaper to do it like this:
Sometimes I also just take the CMS in my rig because it's still cheaper and then take my dogtag case and some spare ammo
There is tons of different ways you can sort your meds out but having spare ammo in your container is very useful and I'd recommend that

This is a better setup, but requires you to get used to your keybindings whilst bleeding to death, Grizzly is just click and forget
I would recommend this setup over my personal choice

Yeah Woods is a nice map for newbies to learn, I will always say Streets is the best map but I am biased and I am a complete gremlin that lives on that map so, take it with a metric ton of salt

I think if your PC can run it well and you don't pay for your own electricity, you don't need any other map, when you learn it you can avoid any fight and back off and loop round, the buildings give you tons of angles on scavs and PMCs if you do want to fight and there is loot literally everywhere 😄
