I joined about a month before the current wipe. If I were you, which I was then I suppose, I'd try to get the hang of Woods and Customs, and do so with a proper loadout whenever possible. That, and scav runs, will prepare you better than naked pistol runs.

If you don't want to risk your gear yet, use the Offline Raid mode to have it just be you and the scavs on the map.

Until late game, most quest stuff is usually pretty available, if not in raid then on the flea market (unlocks at lv15).

Just use the WW2 helmet that Ragman sells. Same armour rating (tier 3) as most others you can buy with lv1 traders.

Early wipe they're better 'cause most people have shit ammo.

What's a good way to farm money/gear for people who just started the game?

If you want to guarantee profit, you can always enter the cycle of scavving and offline-PMCing/Practice Mode while your scav is on cooldown. Scavving can only make you money. Practice mode is great for learning maps, loot runs, and getting good at killing scavs and scav bosses, and other core mechanics like hipfire. It's literally impossible to lose any money doing this, so it just stacks up while you learn a lot

ok so recoil, pull down, flinch wait for your gun to reset before shooting again and gun sway you account for while changing directions (ad) while moving and while stationary you should be holding your breathe before shooting
