-If you want to guarantee profit, you can always enter the cycle of scavving and offline-PMCing/Practice Mode while your scav is on cooldown. Scavving can only make you money. Practice mode is great for learning maps, loot runs, and getting good at killing scavs and scav bosses, and other core mechanics like hipfire. It's literally impossible to lose any money doing this, so it just stacks up while you learn a lot
-Hipfire is exceptional, using a flashlight and hipfiring is a hugely important mechanic to start practicing. Use practice mode
-Stop running everywhere - sprinting is very loud and gives you away, it provides a lot of opportunity to ambush you. Whenever you're in high-traffic areas, be very disciplined about when you sprint.
-Have a goal in mind every raid, plan a route and try to stick roughly to it. If you notice a route failing 3 times in a row, change your route. This makes it easier to keep oriented and focused in-raid
-Pick your fights, don't be afraid to retreat
-Only right hand peak if you have a choice. It exposes far less of you than peeking left.
-Positioning is everything. In combat, frequently reposition, this is just one of the reasons map knowledge is critical and should be built and practiced ASAP.
-Ammo is more important than guns, but you need to know how to use what ammo you have. High damage vs High penetration is a critical difference - use an ammo chart.
-Learn from every death, there's almost always a lesson, recording them and watching them back really helps improve
-Most importantly, have fun with it - don't be afraid to take a break if it's frustrating you too much.

The moment a scav sees you, imagine a circle around you begins getting smaller. It will place shots somewhere in that circle about 1 second after initially seeing you. You have about 3-4 seconds before the only thing in that circle is parts of you. Breaking line of sight will freeze that circle, but the scav will maintain his accuracy on that particular part of cover it saw you last. You can reset the circle by shifting positions while in cover and re-peeking from a new angle. Therefore:

Rule 1: Always fight scavs from reliable hard cover. (Not bushes, they see right through those)

Rule 2: Peek briefly, but steady your aim. Like said previously, a scav will only start shooting about 1 second after initially seeing you, and there's a very good chance that his first shot will miss. So peek, take 1-2 seconds to line up a good headshot, and take it. If you miss, duck behind cover and reposition

Being someone who also doesnt know streets well, I'd say trying to play that map, atleast for me, for the first time solo was not something I wanted to do. I'd have much preferred if someone held my hand through it

I just dont' like helping people who want you to hold their hand through literally everything. Like, take some initiative, learn the basic callouts and landmarks and extracts risk-free in offline before you ask me to teach you looting and player behavior
