@sullen bobcat @molten tendon just play scav on woods and customs a dozen times, you will get a feel of the map and the game. just remember that if you play as a scav, you shouldnt shoot other scavs. but if you play PMC solo, just shoot everyone on sight (or pick your fights accordingly).

How I find distinguish is by looking out for the colour of their clothes. PMCs is almost always full green camo and English voicelines. And scavs have Russian voicelines, they usually have clothes and head wear that looks like it went through a randomizer. You could also look out to see if they are wearing good gear. Flashlights and lasers raise suspicion but ive seen scavs with those too. This is how I do it, but others might have a better way. You will get a feel of it as you play.

Thats the one benefit of playing solo as PMC, you can just shoot anyone.

Scav on woods, tons of ammo packs to go around. Asume 90% of players are using class 4 armour now. You want to look first and foremost at armour pen values unless you are going for the legs (which can't be armoured)

Compass shows north but many maps are not correctly oriented towards the north, keep that in mind.

For red dots on M4s you should try to get a flat gas block that does away with the front iron sights or just bear with it for now.

scav run and survive. take gear with the pmc next one and try to snowball of it. i recommend going customs since scav spawns there are consistent and you can farm additional stuff
