Well this is a very big and complex subject but dont overestimate bullet drop unless you got a good reason like subsonic ammo or such also if you cant nail the guy try to shoot his leg to slow him down otherwise just click furiously at the head and it shoud work out

factory is actually a PvP practice map

it's the best place to learn PvP

spend a couple days making a bunch of money

then spend like 8 or 10 raids just running factory over and over and trying to wipe the lobby

or more raids if you start liking it

My experience on factory is getting domed from a Scav from the ceiling or having a guy tank a shotgun slug to the face

@hard storm a lot of fights in Tarkov can come down to a mind game... for instance, if youre juking and jiving, and firing a shit ton at the enemy, tossing nades, repositioning after shooting

then youre going to most likely be scaring the enemy, and making them think theyre screwed

putting them on the back foot, giving you the upper hand

but if you sit in the same spot, take only a few pot shots, and dont really do anything... well your enemy is going to exploit your timidness

@tulip kettle there’s going to be gaps in most teams. The more people there are in a team the more likely they are to mess up. You can watch a few videos online by people who make educational content and how they fight teams.

It’s less about the gun and more about the ammo. if you don’t have ready access to good ammo for every gun, look at what ammo you have available that’s viable (so it can like pen armour or high damage for leg) then choose a gun that uses it.

What's everyone's advice on finding Virtexs? I've looted every duffle bag I've seen, I've been Reserve and looted both marked rooms 10 times each, I've loot Merin car like 5-10 times as well. I've looted RB-ST, RB-AK and drop down room on Reserve many many times as well and can't seem to find my last Virtex. I keep finding VPX's though which is even sadder

Try to get an income, Buy 10 cheap loadouts (pistol only, or like a decent gun + headset and bodyarmor) and run factory over and over again (Factory exit key helps), kill 1-2 people, get out, stash their kit and return to factory

You can, but it is honestly not a "must" do. If you play factory it can just happen normally, with out you ever needing to force it. He is probably very new, so I personally would just ditch the quest and focus on something else.

Keep it on your right until you cross the road, then keep both smaller rocks on your left, turn left after the second one, and look out for the trailer on the other side of the road, there comes a concrete wall, and in the middle of it theres ZB-014

most guns that can't be modded that much like the G36 (only the short version is good) have most of the time good/okay base stats, so you need to do less modding to get them to be decent, but they will never be as good as the guns you can modd everything

You cant get a good caliber with low recoil without some good modding, bullpup guns might be a decent bet as they tend to have à decent baseline and you only need supressor/sight/grip

Aug, MDR, UMP all easy to mod

Plenty of guns in the game that don't require a degree in gunsmithing

Basically, Tarkov has 3 fundamentals.

1. Navigating the map and extracting.
2. Fighting.
3. Looting.
   If you are new the most important step is to learn 1, there is no point in trying focus on 2 or 3, if you can't do 1.
   Your goal should be to spawn and navigate to an extract. If you manage to do that you are already winning.
   To help with that you should open a map for the map you are running on your second monitor (or phone), best are interactive maps that you can find on the tarkov wiki.
   Just walking around the map will be already very deadly as pmc, but your goal is to play pmc as often as you can. Since the end goal is to be able to do quests as pmc.
   So you should alternate between playing scav and pmc and use the scav gear on your pmc until you can do point 1.

I recomend playing woods or/and customs as your first maps. Woods is the easiest map in the entire game, the only thing about Woods is understanding were you spawned, if you mastered that, you are on a good way to master the map.
Customs is on the other hand is a lot easier to navigate but has more narrowing's on the map, making pvp more likely.
Woods is harder to navigate but easier to survive while customs is easier to navigate but harder to survive.

The best way to learn a map, if you have a phone or ipad handy, set it next to your monitor…spawn into a map as a scav and use visual references to get oriented. The maps are large but there so are so many landmarks. Before you know it, you’ll be prettt familiar with where you are.

Yes. Every level will give you access to cheaper and different options. My recommendation is, if you find 100/100 weapons in raid, just open them in editor and start modding them. Like that you learn about the weapon mods and how they work. That is also cheap, since you don't have to buy extra weapons. On top of that, you will know what weapon parts to loot and what is bad.

You can craft salewas easy enough if you have the medical craftbench in hideout. I recomend you use CAR kits as your heals and craft salewas with them when they are almost completely empty

Night time woods is just asking for trouble if you dont know the map, telling one tree apart from another tends to be somewhat tricky if you haven't seen it before.
Avoid the major landmarks, take the long way around and possibly just hide in a bush for 20mins while other PMC's do their thing.
