You have to inspect your weapon and it will identify the malfunction, then you clear the malfunction. Go into your key binds. You’ll see where they are mapped. I changed mine to be hold H to inspect and fix on release. So I forgot the original binds.

Customs and Woods have all the early game quests on them, Reserves gets quests only relative late in comparison.

Okay. My advise is this: set your goal not to loot but to extract and only loot the stuff you find on the way to your extract. Don't do massive detours to loot X amount of buildings as a PMC. If you want to loot, lets say stuff for your hideout upgrade, use your scav for that. With your pmc having massive amounts of loot isn*t that important as a new player. Your goals should be understanding the map and navigating to the extract.
If you feel like you already mastered the advise I have written above, and you "only" struggle with pvp. Then you should start playing more Factory, there is no map that will allow you to experience more pvp then factoy. But be advised, you will die a LOT on factory.

Over all, your end-goal as pmc should be to do quest.

Gear comes and goes but the experience you gain from using the gear is far more valuable than the roubles lost

Take the gun into an offline factory raid and put the bots on hard, then get a feel for it. After you done that, go in a raid with it. Even if you die instantly with the gun, you already gained some experience with it, so its not for nothing.

Oh yes one thing if your having issues with aiming and hitting shots one way to do it is offline factory with a lower AI difficulty no bosses and the AI amount set to horde, it gives you plenty of targets just bring a lot of bullets

if you spawn on the right side of the map, you need to already "camp" the routes people take from their spawns, and then either rotate to the routes people take into or out of resort or get into resort, then reset the map relativly fast

Basically, Tarkov has 3 fundamentals.

1. Navigating the map and extracting.
2. Fighting.
3. Looting.
   If you are new the most important step is to learn 1, there is no point in trying focus on 2 or 3, if you can't do 1.
   Your goal should be to spawn and navigate to an extract. If you manage to do that you are already winning.
   To help with that you should open a map for the map you are running on your second monitor (or phone), best are interactive maps that you can find on the tarkov wiki.
   Just walking around the map will be already very deadly as pmc, but your goal is to play pmc as often as you can.
   So you should alternate between playing scav and pmc and use the scav gear on your pmc until you can do point 1.

I recomend playing woods or/and customs as your first maps. Woods is the easiest map in the entire game, the only thing about Woods is understanding were you spawned, if you mastered that, you are on a good way to master the map.
Customs is on the other hand is a lot easier to navigate but has more narrowing's on the map, making pvp more likely (as in on customs you will probably run into more other people).

i have 6k hours and i still sometimes struggle with fights head on , so its normal , also try to play slowly and listen to the sourroundings and make sure to take advantage of hearing footsteps , that will increase your chances on winning the fights

IF u need it the game will always spawn it in the map, it's the procedural casino algorithm .. I got tons of proofs of this.

It depends where you are in the quest line - there are some you can do 4 in a row without delays.

No there’s a bind to toggle walk. I don’t use that. I use the mouse wheel to control walking speed. Just movement is your WASD keys like every game
