On average you will survive more, if you play slower, less running more walking.
Scavs work a bit like a car that accelerated from standstill. Meaning the longer you need to kill them the better they get. If you can kill a scav in the first few seconds of a fight, the often don't even shoot back. But if you take to long, they will focus on your position and lock on to you, in a matter of speaking.
If you fail to kill a scav, its most of the time better to disangage and trying to find a new angle on them, then just pushing straight into them.

Every raid that some hacker vacuums up the loot and is later banned should reward the other players of that raid with the quest items that were stolen from them and various other high-tier loot. The time they would have needed to get those items was spent, but their chances were nullified by nefarious actors.
Why not give them the deserved loot then? Of course only to those players who survived the raid in question.

Depends on the Mission, and cost, if your hunting and struggling with scavs yes, shotguns, SMG's and pistols, they will give you another 1-2 hits.

Once you get to player weapons, and high end Scav rifles, it's essentially paper

its better than nothing but get tier 3-4 and 5 level armor.
