You can see on that link that it's not needed for any tasks, the only hideout node it's needed in is generator 2 (don't worry about saving for anything level 2 until you get flea market), and you'd barely make any profit selling on the flea - so best just to sell to Therapist

When you are at the extract itself you will see the timer and the extract name will show up on top right but that's it, no way to tell if you're getting closer
