It’s like very difficult, but also not as difficult as it seems lol. It may seem IMPOSSIBLE to survive pmc raids or get loot, but as you keep learning it will eventually click and you’ll start to live more and more

Map/game knowledge is half the battle.

Not just knowing the map but getting a feel for where people are and where they tend to go, the flow of the map, hearing gunshots and being able to approximate where they are

And also always having a goal or objective for your pmc raids, and coming up with a plan to accomplish that given your map/game knowledge

Even if your goal is just “make money/loot”, that doesn’t mean wander around aimlessly picking stuff up. It means tailoring your load out to your goal, picking a smart map for your goal, seeing where you spawn, knowing where you want to loot, how risky different places may be to go to, where your extracts are and which ones you should take, etc.

Here's the rub.
You have 3 options

1. Pattern recoil (CSGO, etc)
2. Random recoil with no first shot rise (COD, Siege, etc)
3. Random Recoil with 1st shot rise (Tarkov)

Without the initial muzzle rise, random recoil is just a laser beam that requires a slight pull-down, or the randomness is too extreme to control at all.

Don't use slugs. If you want to be accurate at range, don't use a shotgun. The main advantage of a shotgun in Tarkov is the spreadshot (and AP-20)
If you want to use a shotgun at low level, go 5.25 and aim at face or legs
