A lil tip thats helped me is, Filter by item shows the exact item. Linked search shows you attachments, mags and bullets compatible for the gun, and required shows what its being used in what barter for

There is that school of thought, and BSG shares it somewhat - hence the massive flea restrictions over the past several wipes. It does shift the entire focus to money farming, instead of looking for what you actually need, which isn't great. But some things are just impossible to find and rely too much on RNG, for those having the flea is really nice
