hello all, im fairly new to the game, level 11 but dont get to play all that much with work and such, im looking for some help to get some of these early quests done, and just get some direction from an experienced player unlike myself

Question. How do people raid for good loot? So far me and a friend go in with gear. I bring one rifle a bag and a 2 in 1 armour tac vest and like 2 mags for my gun

Normally we go to a spot we know is often quiet but has loot. We love power station on customs. 3 gun crates, tool box med box and hidden cache. Fill up with whatever there is and leave. We make most our money on gun parts normally 5k each sometimes 20 for a suppressor or scope

the question "Are helmets worth it" has long been a debated point in tarkov, ricochet is caluclated BEFORE damage, so long as it reads "High" it has a decent chance to bounce a bullet and save your ass

If the bullet isn't caught by the ricochet, at this point, it will rip through and kill you, turn around response to that is, most of the high level people quit out, so lots of level 20 and lowers floating around, so it'll easily soak up some 5.45 rounds

Don't forget to use your scav for learning maps, where other scavs spawn and the free loot. The extracts will be different but you'll get more familiar with the map and start recognising where you are.

reposition frequently, don't loot bodies in combat unless you know they have something that will give you an upper hand (if they blacked your armor in 1 shot take their gun for example), and only engage one person at a time. keep them on their toes and having to constantly guess where you're gonna be. use grenades down hallways that you know are being held to cover pushes. basically be unpredictable, being predictable and immobile is the best way to make yourself a walking loot delivery for other people
