For anything in scav boxes, because nobody but you knows where you're at in terms of quests or hideout, or what barters/crafts you're trying to save for, you have 2 options. It's otherwise impossible to know, without significant experience or asking other people every time, what you'll need anytime soon, or what sells for substantial money to other players.

Option 1) Set a particular goal - maybe two or three hideout upgrades you want and get your list of like 5-10 items together. Sell everything else. This is the most "to hell with inventory management" approach, and you'll certainly sell things that you'll need again or could have sold for more, but you'll spend much more of your time in-raid.

Option 2) Check everything using https://tarkov-market.com/ and the info it provides for quest/hideout/barter/crafting requirements and for flea prices. Then you can decide what things you'll need soon enough, and which items sell for enough, to hold onto. This is quicker in the long run and more profitable, but is tedious.

For example, if you were checking 'Bolts' you would type it in and see this screen. You could then decide if any of those quests or hideout upgrades are close enough to save for, or if the extra money you'd get on the flea would make it worthwhile to hold onto until you hit level 15.

If you're using the weapon light for PVP you may want to put it on the right side of the weapon to be more functional for right hand peaks.

Ah you're just not able to literally find them in world, the easiest place would be reserve on raiders for the MP5 parts but that can be rough to do (raiders). Rogues also have the mp5 iirc so you could wander lighthouse and maybe find it

ok, not dying to scavs can be cheesed if you know where to expect them and using maps can help with that, mapgenie has scav spawns marked for example, after they see you theres a small window where they dont shoot just yell at you. you should use that window to kill them and if that doesnt work imidately find cover and break line of sight, you dont want to duel a scav in the open, try peeking them from the right side preferably after a while and try again untill you kill them, dont be afraid to reposition and run away a bit

with fighting scavs its best to focus on headshots. they have inconsistent health pools so head is the most reliable way to kill them, also conserves ammo which later in the game youll se becomes expensive

they chase you ocasionally but thats more of an exception rather than the rule

they do chase you around if you enter a raid with very minimal gear like for example with just a pistol, thats a mechanic to discourage running no gear but if you have a proper loadout you should be ok

Also, they're "suppressed" when you'Re hitting them.. so as long as you keep hitting them generally you're fine

shoreline stashes is the way to go for low risk high extraction and decent loot. If you're more brave, try woods or lighthouse

lighthouse has much higher tier loot, but is quite risky

woods is so big, you generally don't have much time to loot, and stashes are hella hard to find

but you can loot a few spots and get decent stuff

Immunizing yourself to dying isn't simply a matter of dying a lot. In my opinion, thats part of it, but it was more important for me to understand that no matter how many times I died, I had a strategy that allowed me to get as much money as I wanted that I could fall back on at any time

If you don't have that, then dying a lot just becomes crazy demoralizing

True, you improve PvP a bit. But if you're going in with worse and worse gear because you keep dying, improving at PvP isn't much fun. I had way more fun training my PvP skills after I had become proficient at ratting to the point where I could bankroll my attempts at being a chad

Of course you still die a lot, but you can actually have way more fun with it

True.. i'd argue that early on you should alternate between scav runs and pmc runs, to finance your pmc - you can run whatever you spawn with or find as a scav so you don't risk anything and don't lose any money

I think thats a much better way that just slamming yourself into factory. Some people say that helps train PvP early which is the best thing, but I think most people much prefer the stability of your method

I find customs is a higher risk map, it's too narrow and linear.. and the whole fortress / skeleton / crack / dorms area is highly contested

See that's the weird thing, i never had a money problem last wipe because the few runs i got out alive, i got decent loot and was able to make up my losses and then some, combine that with a bunch of decent scav runs, and i never really had low money at all

The UMP from PK (buy Black Knives at Fence and trade to Peacekeeper) was a total gamechanger for me in terms of early guns. Very cheap but crazy effective. SKS is still nice in maps like woods or shoreline but anywhere else, before level 15, I only use the UMP.
But you might be right, if money isn't an issue and you can scav or do a rattier-PMC raid to get some, then it might just be time for you to spend some time in factory to get over that frustrating hump of dying and regearing

maybe you either dont have enough money or you unchecked some boxes from the post report heal

at a certain level healing post raid from therapist is no longer free

most people just heal using grizzly kits post raid rather than therapist

definitely had enough money...and didnt uncheck...i had this glitch yesterday...i click apply at the heal screen, it shows my char fully healed on that screen, then if i go to my character sheet it has me back at 140

it’s a known glitch sadly you can heal through therapist and it still won’t heal you
