if you right click a gun and press linked search (assuming you have flea) you will see what can go on the gun which includes mounts,tactical devices,mags and sights and you gotta examine them. after you do that you can right click a gun and press edit preset and it will show everything you have examined that is compatible with the gun

@bold kernel If you have access to the fleet market I would recommend looking into LBT-1961A rigs. they are a 3x3 rig that gives you double the space inside. 2 slots are even 2x2 so you can store helmets and headsets in them. (I bought mine at around 40-45k each)

there isnt hearing damage in this game. the benefit of using headphones is they change how the audio is mixed - things like footsteps and distant shots can be louder, while things like the ambient noise can be quieter. varies depending on which set. some of them also make the audio more bassy, so if you like bass boosted audio, there ya go.
TL;DR helmets that reduce noise just make it harder to hear, whereas headphones provide actual benefits

One of the first steps to learning pvp is learning the map
controlling the pace via usage of environment is like one of the biggest aspects of pvp on this map.
even more experienced people fail on maps that they arent comfy with
BUT
one of the steps you can take solely for better PVP is practice
take a decent gun or a gun you'd be playing with
and visit factory
depending on your experience and skill
you can start with either factory offline vs scavs on HARD ai / horde
or can go online pvp vs other players

Run your scav any chance you get and start off on 1 map till you feel comfterbal knowing that map! Scav is free gear free money so if you die you don’t loose any money cuz u spent none and you learn the map a little more every time

@shell robin my biggest piece of advice is don’t get overwhelmed Tarkov is meant to be hard, and we’ve all started some where I killed three scavs as a scav my first game and later died from what I know now was 3 heavy bleeds lol so you’ll get the hang of it dude!

So personal I go with an any ak, the best ak I feel in budget as low level is akm with 30 round from prapor, than buy the Bastil dust cover from skier and you can place any rail mounted sight on it to help get some either cqb action or long range! All under about 75k
