Unpredictability is key, big flanks like was said. Play like a guerilla
Nades are incredibly useful for sound cover and to allow for good repositioning.
Sometimes you have to really rely on good positioning and patience - camping bodies you've dropped from weird angles is a pretty necessary strat when going up against large teams.
Learning routes from each spawn just comes with time, but focus on trying to find reliable routes and areas you can work in from each spawn.
Harness areas rich with scavs or scav bosses to bait in PMC's and get good ambushes
Lots of little things, but solo play does make you so much better. Very rewarding
