Continuously run reserve scav runs and hit rooftops towards the helicopter on reserve. Have something to look up certain items as you grab these items and try and only store those of which are (8k-10k), some attachments are even (40k). Just do your research, run reserve, and you’ll make bank. I’m LVL (8) with (3 million).

Given the presumption that newer = better and that M in the "AKM" stands for modernized it should logically be the AKM. But if I am correct, there is no AK-47 in the game (AKM is a modernization of AK-47 from the 50s), so you must be talking about some version of AK-74. If we apply the same assumption (newer = better) the AK-74 should be the better one. Unfortunately now it is not that simple to say, since these guns vary in multiple ways. Firstly they fire a different cartridge (AKM - 7.62x39, AK-74 - 5.45x39) which is a major difference. It's basically up to your preference, the 7.62 being a beefier, heavier round with higher penetration values and higher "stopping power", but it also comes with higher recoil and being larger and heavier that it's 5.45 counterpart. That's mostly the difference, but also note that the AK-74 has an excellent muzzle device well capable of decreasing the recoil even further.

@sinful rivet It depends entirely on the ammunition and attachments you put on the weapon. Each caliber has many different ammo types in it. If you’re firing low penetration ammo you won’t do much to your enemy’s Armor.

For example 7.62x39mm BP has 47 penetration. 5.45x39mm PP has 33 penetration. If I had a choice between which ammo type to use I’d pick BP in this case.
Focus more on the ammunition your traders give you access to than the individual weapons.

In general, when you still have green arrows up next to a skill, you level it more to when you get red arrow down next to the skill. At beginning of raid, all your skills still have that maximum gain, so “training” one skill at beginning is most efficient. Although this wipe imo you can just run chad gear and get max strength in 500~ raids

Honestly, don’t over worry about it, let your strength level up first and then you’ll get ur endurance up later

But if you really want to just drop some of ur gear right before leaving and run your stamina bar All the way down before leaving (with your gear of course)

Running too much. Running is really loud and gives so many people away, just stop doing it if you're trying to live, especially near any hotspots - just walk unless you're in an open field or otherwise super exposed. This is the most important tip, most people tell me
Positioning. Be very conscious of your positioning, pay attention to the times you're trying to move through high-traffic areas and hotspots. Change up your timing and routing if things repeatedly don't work for you.
Overcommitting in fights - retreat and flank as often as possible. Don't press without a large advantage, repositioning is a vital strat.
Use nades more often.
If you want to guarantee profit, you can always enter the cycle of scavving and offline-PMCing. Scavving can only make you money, you can't lose anything. Offline is great for learning maps and getting good at killing scavs and scav bosses. This cycle is great to simply build up lots of money quickly while learning - which makes online PMCing far easier.

Factory is a meat-grinder, not good for starting out at all. Very little loot and pretty much only good for PvP.
Woods is a really easy map to make a lot of money on without much risk, but kind of a pain to learn.
Reserve is an excellent map to scav on, you can make crazy money there - same with Lighthouse (however loading into lighthouse often takes longer and it has some performance issues)

Be wary about PMC'ing into Reserve or Lighthouse, much harder and not a good idea starting out. Great scav maps though
